Salam Alfredo
Welcome To our little peaceful place on the net.
Please take time to read the quraan. The Quran is more than just an encyclopaedia of Living. Its also a guidence manual which directs one to a serene life on earth and an opportunity to enter Paradise.
Every question that the bible can't answer is in the Quraan. The basic message of Islam is the same message of all the previous prophets :worship God alone and avoid worshipping anything besides him, whether it is a person, place or thing, directly or indirectly. The universal message of tawheed was brought to everyone.
It is an established fact that Prophet Muhammad, pbuh, was unlettered. Whereas the Quran, which he brought, has challenged all mankind with all their literary geniuses and scientists, from the first day of its revelation to the Last Day, to produce a like of it or even a single chapter of it:
The Quran openly declares:
You (O Muhammad) was not a reader of any Scripture before it, nor did you write (such a Scripture) with your right hand, for then those who follow falsehood might (have a right) to doubt it.
(al-Ankabut, 29.48)
Prophet Muhammad, pbuh, saw much resistance from the Jews and Christians. The Quran mentions Prophet Moses, the Prophet sent to the Israelites, about 500 times, while the name of Muhammad is mentioned in the Quran only four times. The Quran also mentions Prophet Jesus many times. Is it conceivable that one who falsely claims Prophethood ever mentions the Prophets of the peoples who show him great hostility? I don't think so.
The Quran mentions previous Prophets, including Moses and Jesus, peace upon them , and the Christians’ and Jews’ denial of Muhammad’s Prophethood and the Divine authorship of the Quran, is proof of the Prophethood of Muhammad and the Divine authorship of the Quran and that the Christians’ and Jews’ denial comes from purely false reasons like jealousy, prejudice and selfishness.
I'm not a scholar, but I would advise you to read the quraan. With an open mind and heart and (if god wills) a door will open for you that you have never seen before.
I'll let the more knowledgable Brothers and Sisters tackle the rest of your questions and concerns that you need help with.
