why we will not take what rashad khalifa is saying
#3

Bismillah

as salam alykom

Sobhan Allah, I saw to just shed more light on his confusion.

He says that when Muslims utter Allahum salli a`ala Mohamed, is a form of idol worshiping as they meditate on Mohamed rather than Allah.

For this he decided to translate the Ayah:

""God and His angels support the prophet ;O you who believe,

you shall support him and regard him as he should be regarded." (Quran 33:56)

Now it is much better if we post the transileration first before putting the correct translation, since he omitted a part of the Ayah astaghferu Allah. The Ayah say:

"Inna Allaha wamala-ikatahu yusalloona AAala alnnabiyyi ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo salloo AAalayhi <b>wasallimoo tasleeman</b>"

Now let us see where else does Allah Use the word usalli right in the same Surah but before this Ayah:

"Huwa allathee yusallee AAalaykum wamala-ikatuhu liyukhrijakum mina alththulumati ila alnnoori wakana bialmu/mineena raheeman" (Quran 33:43)

Translation is:

"He it is Who sends Salat (His blessings) on you, and His angels too (ask Allah to bless and forgive you), that He may bring you out from darkness (of disbelief and polytheism) into light (of Belief and Islamic Monotheism). And He is Ever Most Merciful to the believers." (Quran 33:42)

As u can clearly see, the salawat here is divided into two, one that Allah Makes on us which includes Allah's Mercy, blessing and more. While that of angles is actually making dua (supplications) to Allah to Send His mercy etc.

Now back to the one related to the Prophet salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam, the translation including the part that he omitted is:

"Allah sends His Salat (Graces, Honours, Blessings, Mercy, etc.) on the Prophet (Muhammad ﻢﻠﺳﻭ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﻪﻠﻟﺍ ﻰﻠﺻ) and also His angels too (ask Allah to bless and forgive him). O you who believe! Send your Salat on (ask Allah to bless) him (Muhammad ﻢﻠﺳﻭ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﻪﻠﻟﺍ ﻰﻠﺻ), and (you should) greet (salute) him with the Islamic way of greeting (salutation i.e. AsSalamu 'Alaikum)." (Quran 33:56)

He totally omitted the last part just to verify to himself and confuse and deceive his followers ignoring that when one utters salwat, one is actually making dua (invocation) to Allah to bless the Messneger, one does not and never meditating upon the Messenger (I seek refuge to Allah), we dont sit and say Ya Mohamed, ya Mohamed, this I understand would be totally shirk. We also dont seek his help or support or else it will be also shirk, just like we dont seek help of any other human being. Just Allah.

La hawala wala qowata ila billah
