Thanks for the link. I've studied a good bit on Islamic marriage before, so what I have seen on that site is similar to what I've read before.
It all seems pretty basic and straightforward, although I don't agree, of course, with polygamy, the ease of getting divorced, or the idea of a "social contract." Anyway, in general.... it's not Islamic marriage that I don't understand or am ignorant of.
What I <b>WAS</b> ignorant of was how bigoted and controlling some people can be about marriage (i.e., the Islam-QA.com web site). That was the most horrible thing I've ever read about interfaith marriage. Just goes to serve as further proof of how bad it could be marrying someone of a different faith.
