I will give u an answer for your inquiry about the verse. Although u did not tell me our status according to you. Allah in this verse is commanding the Messenger PAPBUH to instruct Muslims about the necessity to obey Aallah and the Messenger. He Told him further, whoever denies Allah and the Messenger this right, or turn away rejecting such instructions (which were even preceded by another verse complimenting this meaning pls read it read from 30 - 32. the 3 verses explain each other) in return shall not be loved to Allah. In other words the command is for us Muslim. And to be a kafir (the Arabic word used in the verse) here, is a referrence to be denying Allah and the Messenger the right of obedience.
