Islam's Claim On Spain

.... Columbus' journey to the western hemiphere, for example, would never have been possible without the advanced state of navigation developed by the Muslim Arabs, and yet this achievement is today hailed as a western European accomplishment.

Hmmmmm!


Columbus' destination was not western hemisphere, but "the spice land", India. His had in his posession the European world map, which showed the World "Flat". One of his navigator was a Spanish Muslim, who carried a 8th century Islamic World Map (it still can be seen in Vatican Museum) showing the World as ROUND. But Columbus being a western bigot, refused to use Muslims' advance technology and ended up "Accidently" in the "New World"


The "Muslim Arabs" did have monopoly over Islamic scientific advancement - it was the result of a "combined effort" by Muslim, Jews, and Christian scholars.
