Adultery – In Biblical And Islamic Terms

Quote: What made Mohammed ADD this on to the Quran, and where is the explanation for this addition to the Quran? The Quran says nothing about different penalties for married or unmarried at all.

Asalamalaikum Shaunee

Abandoning Sunnah is direct violation of Allah’s Commands. We Muslims cannot just take Quran alone and leave Sunnah of the Prophet (SaLaLahu Alaihi wasalam) aside or vice versa. The Quraan and Sunnah go hand in hand.

<b>Allah Ta’ala commands in Quran:</b>

<b>“he who obeys the Messenger, has indeed obeyed Allah” </b>

(Surah-Al-Nisa, V-80)

“Say you, ‘O people if you love Allah, then follow me: Allah will love you and forgive your sins and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful”

(Surah-Ale-Imram, V-31)

“Undoubtedly, you have the best in the following of the Messenger,”

(Surah Al-Ahzab, V-21)

“And whatsoever the Messenger gives you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain from that,

And fear Allah; undoubtedly, the torment of Allah is severe”(Surah Al-Hashr, V-7)

“And whoso obeys Allah and His messenger, has got a great success”

(Surah Al-Ahzab, V-71)

InshaAllah shaunee it is also worth to know (sorry if you already know this) We should always say SaLalahu alaihi wasalam after we mention The Prophets name. It means May the mercy and peace of God be upon him. We can't just say "Mohamed" and leave it at that alone.

<b>Allah, the Exalted, says: </b>

<b>"Allah exalts the mention of His Messenger (PBUH) and His angels supplicate Him to do so. O you who believe! supplicate Allah to exalt his mention and to grant him safety and security. (Qur'an 33:56)
</b>

<b>1400. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:</b> The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "May his nose soil with dust in whose presence mention is made of me and he does not supplicate for me.''

[At-Tirmidhi].

<b>Commentary:</b> "May his nose soil with dust'' means to suffer humiliation and disgrace. That is "may such person be humiliated and disgraced who hears my name and does not invoke Allah's blessings upon me.''

<b>1403. `Ali (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:</b> The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "The miser is the one in whose presence I am mentioned but he does not supplicate for me.''

[At-Tirmidhi].

Supplicate as in saying PBUH or SaLaLahu alaihi wasalam whenever his name is mentioned.

Allah knows best
