Thought on hadeeth

Quote:My brother and I were discussing this very subject earlier.  The way that I see it is that the bible is like the qur'an and the sunnah meshed into one text.  The only problem is that it makes it difficult to pick out which is which.

Asslam-o-Aliakum

I am afraid that's totally wrong understanding of Bible, Holy Qur'an and the Prophet's (pbuh) Sunnah.

First of all - Holy Qur'an is 100% Word of God - While Bible is corrupted 'from head to toe' by human writings - mostly Jews. Holy Qur'an was memorized and written down during the life of the Prophet (pbuh) - While the Bible was written, in parts, between 80 to 200 years after the dis-appearance of the Master.

Second- The Prophet's Sunnah is spread over 23 years of his Divine message - covering every aspect of human-life - While Jesus' divine life was were short - less than three years - And even that was spent in 'removing' the corruption in the original Divine message revealed to Moses (as).

If anyone really like to fid historical grounds between Bible and anything Islamic - That would be Hadith, which were collected and put in current form during 150-300 years after the Prophet (pbuh) - But even that would not do justice to the commonalities. Because, while the Sahih Hadith traces every narrator to the Companions, the four Gospels are based on the 'motto of probably'.

And finally, most of Muslims don't know that in Christianity, the Pope and other 'Inspired' people are given the task of 'addition, sub-traction, and deletion' of the so-called 'divine message' in the Bible - Which has been carried very faithfully for the last 2000 years. That why one find so many kind of Bible and so many 'R.V (Revised Version)'.

Wa Salaam.
