Bismillah
As Salam alaikum
I always remember, as Anyabwile said, that I truly lack comprehensive knowledge. The prophet was the only one who knew everything about Islam. After that, muslims had to rely on the collective understanding of its scholars. So if something is not making sense to me, then I remember that I am not fully educated and that this misunderstanding is due to my ignorance of the deen. Since I cannot know everything as I would like, I am patient and understand that Tawheed is real and logical and all else flows from that. I do not ignore what I do not understand but I keep it active in my mind until I feel that I have talked to someone or learned somewhere the missing link of my knowledge. If it never comes, then Alhamdulillah. I mean, don't commit adultery and it will not happen. Do we as citizens of our countries worry about all the laws that do not seem to make sense to us? Not really, until they affect our lives. I do not understand why people get so worked up or worry about concerns that do not affect them except as how they let them affect them. I do not plan on committing adultery so I am not worried about getting stoned. Easy solution. If I do not want to go to jail for drugs, then I will stay away from them. If I do not want a speeding ticket, then I will not speed. Easy.
As Salam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu
