Quote: In Islamic terminology 'Union' mean World-wide Muslim Ummah - One centural authority, 'Khilafat. It could be one central government or several atonomous governments but having allegiance to the Khaliah.
Since the word Union is an english word, how can there be an Islamic Terminology to it?! According to the dictionary, Union means A combination so formed, especially an alliance or confederation of people, parties, or political entities for mutual interest or benefit.
Just like the Soviet Union or Trade Union, one cannot say that we can replace the word Union by ummah i.e. Soviet Ummah or Trade Ummah which sounds stupid.
Ummah on the other hand has an Islamic Terminology as it is mentioned in Quran and Hadiths. The muslims are not an ummah because we have an alliance, nor a confederation and definitely not united under benefit as this is not the criteria.
The reason why the muslims are disunited is for the fact that they view things from a beneficial point of view and not from Halal or Haram.
As for Khilafat, how would one unite under one central authority as you put it?
It may seem to be trivial or playing with semantics etc. but every word has a meaning and every meaning is a concept which affects our behaviour.
