True, you have to watch your steps when living in a none-Muslim country
BUT since I have experienced both, your LEARN to live with it or if I may address Anya here - you make a cultural adjustment
Anyway must also say that it is easier here since meat IS halal insha'Allah, BUT there are other things still that one has to be careful about. For ex buying sweets that are not 'made in Maroc' but imported - then I almost always don't even give it at chance, I am so suspicious. I have learned my lesson well insha'Allah. And if there is something I really want, then I have to check the ingredients. So things imported can still be a problem and one has to be careful.
But alhamdulillah going to the local market to buy lovely fruits and vegetables then you can throw all suspicions overboard and only enjoy.
