You ASSUME that they're trying to say something negative about Mary, but based on WHAT?
And why would Matthew, a believer and follower of Jesus, <b>intentionally</b> try to defame His mother? Believing that Jesus was the promised Messiah, the Savior, what would be his motivation for doing something like that?
Let me answer for you: There <b>IS</b> none.
