Hi Peace,
Nice that you are still hanging around.
First of all PICTURES showing for example people or animals is not a part at all of Islam, not matter if there is kissing or not.
A Hadith from Bukhari, Volume 3, Book 34, Number 318: Narrated Aisha: (mother of the faithful believers) ''I bought a cushion with pictures on it. When Allah's Apostle saw it, he kept standing at the door and did not enter the house. I noticed the sign of disgust on his face, so I said, "O Allah's Apostle! I repent to Allah and H is Apostle . (Please let me know) what sin I have done." Allah's Apostle said, "What about this cushion?" I replied, "I bought it for you to sit and recline on." Allah's Apostle said, "The painters (i.e. owners) of these pictures will be punished on the Day of Resurrection. It will be said to them, 'Put life in what you have created (i.e. painted).' " The Prophet added, "The angels do not enter a house where there are pictures."
Watching movies - the thought to some is not to look at movies at all, may it be romantic or otherwise. While others restrict themselves to look at news and programs for children and films of nature and animals. Here I am not sure of an approprite Hadith, maybe some of my brothers and sisters can help me out?
Kissing at weddings is not an Islamic custom. It is a tradition outside Islam. Kissing in public is not an Islamic custom. It is a custom outside Islam.
These 'restictions' as you may see them like, has nothing to do with not being able to show affection to one another, man and wife for example, but it is done in private. Not for others eyes to see.
