Assalamu aleikum new brother,
InshaAllah you get some words of advice on the way, here is some more.
It is not difficult to be a Muslim, it is the most natural state to be in. We are all born Muslims, BUT some of us has lost our way somewhere on the line when we took the wrong path. But also many of us returns home, before there is not time to do it. Alhamdullillah.
BUT one thing that often are more or less DIFFICULT when returning back is to ADJUST to being that newborn Muslim again. And it DO take time. Give it time, don't force it. As said here already, try to focus on the Qur'an. Read the Qur'an in English, to get a comprehension of the content. And listen to the recitation of the Qur'an in Arabic, the beautiful language of Allah, SWT. Do it daily, since you will use His Words on a daily bases, during your prayers.
Since you mention that you also read conversion-stories, I think that is also a good help to strengthen your iman, your faith. I read a lot of them in the beginning, tears never wanted to stop running, it was such a comfort. There are many to read, mashaAllah. I can recommend one site if you have not found it already. http://thetruereligion.org/modules/xfsection/.
