And I'm sure it is easy to decypher between these sub-sets of people at a glance right?
Muslimah, if you cannot see that Radiyah's post was clearly anti-semetic, you are truely sad. Passive aggressive racism riddles that post. It would be as if I were to say something like this in an intra-American context:
"Don't worry about it. No matter how hard we try to make peace with them, the Negro will always break his promises and start smoking crack and raping White women again."
The Reason I replied so much harsher to Radiyah's post than to pervious ones is that Radiyah's was sort of the straw that broke the camels back. It is aggrevating to listen to war-hungry biggots spout racist propaganda under the protection of the rules on this site. Certain members on this site refuse to accept that maybe the world has changed since anceint times. THat we can't go around lobbing each other's heads off and expect to somehow "win." They do not want peace.
Personally, I am a strong opponent of anything that signifies racial superiority: social Darwinism, Manifest Destiny, inherant goodness among a specific people, etc. However, the inability of many people on this board to even acknowledge a different kind of thinking flies in the face of progressivism.
Muslimah, I've enjoyed being on this board for many years and most of the conversations I have here are extremely informative (i.e., "Can Muslims Eat...."). However, I refuse to sit back and watch someone spread filth about the good Jewish people. People I personally know. People who are my friends, who work at the store, who are related to me, who taught me that many Jews are anti-Isreal and pro-peace. The good Muslim people are also harmed by this archaic way of thinking. Muslims I know personally; my boss, my ex-girlfriend, my soccer pal, my teacher; do not think in these violent, racist ways and when members on this board write these things, it is easy to understand why there is such great anti-Islam sentiments in the United States and elsewhere.
Again, I cannot help but draw a parellel to the Irish in this case. Many Irish, so obsessed with killing the Protestants and refusing to live peacefully with them, have made the Irish an internationally hated group. There is a saying that calls the Irish "The (African-Americans) of Europe" however 'African-American' is a differnt word that rhymes with "diggers." Is this what Muslims (and Jews) want? To be considered an insane people whom nobody will have sympathy for?
If it is necessary to ban me for my refusal to allow anti-semetic (anti-negro, anti-latino, anti-gypsy, anti-muslim etc.) statements slide, then so be it. You may want to check previous posts of mine when racist American jingos have posted something anti-muslim. I was always there to bark him down and disspell rumours about the good muslim people. Why can I not do the same for Jews?
