Surah Yas'een is aptly known as the soul of the holy Quraan. A person reciting surah Yas'een will be rewarded with the benefit of reading the Quraan Karim Ten Times

Drink water mixed with the word Yas'een written 5 times as it will sharpen your memory
If you listen to the recitation of Surah Yas'een with concentration, You will be rewarded with Zakat of 100 Gold coins
If someone has recited Surah Yas'een and he/she dies thereafter, 30,000 angels will attend last rites of the dead they will accompany his/her Janaza to Kabristan, and attend his/her burial, also pray to Allah SWT For his deliverance and will plead on his behalf. His Kabr will be made spacious and comfortable and the ~Noor~ will rise from his Kabr to the heavens. When he crosses "pull Sara't" he will easily pass and the balance sheet of the sins of his life time will be pardoned.

First we can not favor one surat over the other lest we fall into making difference between the word of Allah. The whole Quran is excellent and so sweet, we may say that we interact with Surats in different manners from one time to another, each time u recite Quran u do inteact with a different Ayah or Surat.
second we really need to verify facts like the quoted ones lest we fall into bida`a. If it is backed up with hadeeth fine. but there is really much circulating among people about different virtues of suras. We can simply say that reciting it equals reciting Quran 10 times, just as reciting Ikhlas equals 1/3 of Quran and so forth. Or we may also try to verify those facts
