Should You Place Your Hands On The Ground Before..

As-salaam Alikum,
When preforming sujood, your knees goes down 1st, then your hands, then your head, and the opposite way when coming up.

but i think that sometimes i put my hands on the ground before putting my knees on the ground ......does this mean that iam not praying properly??
