Answer the Prophet's Call
#1

As Salam Alykom

As we all observed our two new members who I presume belong to the Qur-aneeyeen sect, we consulted among ourselves and we found that banning them or ignoring their issues is not a recommended option. But rather we decided to take the difficult one and bring the truth. If they were Muslims as they present themselves, since in the cyber world it is really hard to know which is which, they might reconsider and see the truth, if not then Alhamdulelah we served Allah, made our homework, searched for us and others to benefit. We also, in order not to retain the reward contaced a number of our members to contribute with us here. May Allah support us, expand our chests and annul a knot in our tongues ameen.Insh a Allah we are going to dedicate a thread to regularly post relevant material to the topic of Sunnah importance.

Here we are starting with the translation of a Friday Surmon delivered by Sheikh Ahmed Al Qattan:

The Messenger (Salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam) foretold in the authentic hadeeth that he detemines what is Halal and what is Haram just the Quran. There is a group of people who believe that only Quran contain Halal and Haram. When you talk to one of them advising that the Messenger of Allah said so, his reply would be: is this in Quran? In case your response would be no, his reaction would be this does not stand as evidence on halal or haram. Give me an Ayah from Quran stating this point. Matter of fact this is exactly what the Prophet foretold saying there will be people and men from his Ummah who come after him saying exactly what we just mentioned above. His (Salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam) expectation came true on all levels. A number of the leaders actually adopt this attitude saying yes Quran is between you and me, but as for Bukhari or Muslim, these are not but the books of Dervishes which were changed and distorted , thus burning the Messenger’s hadeeth. Another group of affluent people who are contained in their own desires usually reject issues made unlawful by the Messenger in case he made a detailed ruling on a point which did not come as detailed in Quran.

Just listen carefully to this great hadeeth in which the Messenger (Salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam) foretold about this issue and told his Ummah saying: ” The man is about [in arabic this word is ushek which indicates the closeness of the incident just as we might say the woman is about to deliver when she is in her ninth month]. He said the man from you (his Ummah) is about to site on his couch before a gathering of people stating my hadeeth and saying between you and me is the book of Allah, what we find in it as lawful we make lawful and what we find in it as unlawful we make unlawful. What was the comment of the Messenge Salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam? Just listen. [What was made unlawful by the Messenger Salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam is just as what Allah made unlawful.

What was made Haram by the Messenger Salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam is originally made by Allah, since he never enacts legislation on his own, but rather he conveys what Allah S ays. He is a Messenger from Allah who receives from Allah through the Arch angle Jabriel. Therefore, Allah Say in Quran: "It is only an Inspiration that is inspired" (Quran 53: 4).

Based on the above mentioned which stated this fact, in order to confirm this fact, Mohamed (Salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam) made a number of issues, which were not included in Quran, Haram. He also fully explained and detailed other issues, on which we obey him, were not also mentioed in Quran. He taught us the number of prayer, which were not included in Quran. Allah Say Establish prayer, but how many? How many Raka`as are Fajr prayer? Or Zohr or so. Mohamed Salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam) taught us all this.

Allah SWT Say:" And proclaim to mankind the Hajj (pilgrimage)."(22: 37) But Mohamed Salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam) said:” Take your rituals after me” he also said:” Pray just as you saw me praying”.

All such details are included in hadeeth and was not in Quran. Thus just be careful not to fall into this grave mistake in which people get trapped. In case you tell someone a hadeeth, he would reply is this an authentic hadeeth that can serve as an evidence. Here lies the major threat. One who rejects authentic hadeeth making Quran only a reference in dealing with people has a description in Quran. Listen here: "He who obeys the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), has indeed obeyed Allah" (Quran 4:80). Therefore, one who obeys the Messenger Salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam) obeys Allah SAW. Allah Continues Saying:" , but he who turns away, then we have not sent you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) as a watcher over them" (4:80).

It means one who turns away from your hadeeth, giving you his back or side in a sign of rejection shall not be protected, but rather shall be a subject for shaytans to hunt. Allah SWT Say:" O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم)" (Quran 4: 59). And also:" And whoever contradicts and opposes the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم)" (Quran 4:115). The underlined part in Arabic is ushaqeq which best translates as divid with or conflicts with. It is a clear expression of one who is in a different place or side than that of the Messenger (Salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam) . We advice you to maintain a position where the Messenger (Salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam) is in order to be gathered with him in the Day of Resurrection. Do not join the wolves. Serurity is where the Messenger (Salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam) who is protected by Allah SWT. The Ayah expresses the status of one who conflicts with the Messenger (Salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam) shall be located in a different side than that of the Messenger (Salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam) Allah Continues in the same Ayah stating the result of such situation Saying:" after the right path has been shown clearly to him, and follows other than the believers' way. We shall keep him in the path he has chosen, and burn him in Hell - what an evil destination." Therefore, believers has a certain path coupled with specific characterists including looks, talk ..etc. Just live among the believers in order to become familiar with them. All those Ayahs simply serve the hadeeth mentioned above. Look at this Ayah:" And let those who oppose the Messenger's (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) commandment (i.e. his Sunnah legal ways, orders, acts of worship, statements, etc.) (among the sects) beware, lest some Fitnah (disbelief, trials, afflictions, earthquakes, killing, overpowered by a tyrant, etc.) befall them or a painful torment be inflicted on them." (Quran 24:63). Fitnah as explained here is one in religion as one may go to sleep a Muslim and wakes up with a hateful feeling towards the Deen. In this Ayah Allah Included women as well just to close the argument that women are execluded from this rule:" It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter" (Quran 33:36).

As clearly indicated, all the previously mentioned Ayah revolve around the necessity to obey the Messenger's hadeeth. Let us listen to him while among his companions and he is telling them this amazing hadeeth. He said:" All my Ummah shall go to Jannah except one who refuses. When he said one he refuses, the companions were amazed. Who is this who is refuses to go to Jannah with the Messenger (Salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam). They replied O Messenger of Allah and who refuses? He said: One who obeys me shall go to Jannah and one who disobeys me refused" (2)

Just look at the glorious Quran when it determines the responsibility of the sense. Allah SWT made the senses to be dedicated for obedience and worship as in:" And I (Allah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone)" (Quran 51:56). Senses as we know include sight, hearing and of course the tongue which all must be devoted to the worship of Allah Lord of the Worlds. Allah indicates the importance of the hearing. One must use it in the proper manner as when he/she encounters rememberance, he/she must immediately assign the hearing to receive. At this point, one attains comfort and feels the light. Allah Say:" Verily, therein is indeed a reminder for him who has a heart or gives ear while he is heedful" (Quran 50:37). Allah Indicated one who has heart. Of course all people have hearts, but Allah here Is Talking about the core of belief not the blood heart. Allah Is Talking about the Divine light. Those people stated in the Ayah, what do they have? The have hearing in case the heart become absent, the hearing shall be alerted which might be affected with the advice. As the hearing starts to receive the heart may be revived. Therefore, Allah detailed this point as Verily, therein is indeed a reminder for him who has a heart or gives ear while he is heedful.

Dear brothers and sisters, the Messenger (Salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam) did not overlook an issue related to Halal or Haram good or evil except that he fully explained it to his Ummah in order to avoid the evil and follow the good. We may inquire who narrated this hadeeth, it is Hudhayfah Ibn Al Yaman Katem ser Rasull Allah (Salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam) who said: The Messenger (Salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam) addressed us in a comprehensive surmon which included what ever may occur till the Hour. The surmon took the whole day. He prayed Fajr, started the Khutba, then prayerd Zohr continued the Khutba, then Asr and continued. It is a significant Khutba that contained temptations, those who set reforms, follow sects and innovations. Hudhaya, therefore, says:" One who is acknowledged about it shall be aware and one who overlooks it shall be ignorant about it.
