I suppose if the goal of Jihad is not necessarily to wage a logical war, but rather to show your alliegence to God (as I think Muslimah told me) then I guess I understand why muslims would call for jihad regardless of how severly they may be beaten. However, I still believe that it would be impossible for an army of muslims to defeat the United States. First of all, oviously not all muslims would climb aboard, especially thsoe amalgamated into American/Western society and culture. The advantage the United States military has is that it doesn't even need half of the population to support it. It could use full and total war tactics on Islam with only minority consent, whereas a jihad would require almost unanimous backing by the muslim population.


This is all irrelevent however, as I still believe that militarism will get Islam nowhere in the long run. Islam, Christianity, and Judaism have been at war with various sects of society for centuries, and they are still entangled in a web of hatred and conflict. Obviously, this is not working. Tibet enjoyed a culture free of war until the Chinese invaded and put it under pseudo-communist rule. Ghandi drove the British from India without violence, and while India has many problems, it is no longer a Western colony. Martin Luther King Jr. advanced the civil rights for the Negro populace of America without using violence. Why kill potential muslims? Why not work to show them the way to peace? God would not create a person incapable of persuasion, that would dismiss the entire meaning of a fair and just God.


Think about it. Before you foolishly sacrifice human life.
