The Forty Sacred Hadith
#29

Quote:Abunuran
We, as Muslims, demand of the Jews and Christians, to bring their scriptural proof for what they say about their beliefs and, just as with them, Allah, tells us to "bring our convincing proof" [21:24] as well for what we say about our beliefs as Muslims.

Allah, then says that:

25:33. And no question/arguement do they bring to thee but We reveal to you the truth and the best explanation (thereof).

If the hadiths, other thah Al-Qur'an of course, were to be used for guidance, then why does Allah ask this rhetorical question?

So, the questions on the table then are these...are the hadiths, other than Al-Qur'an, and the so-called Sunnah of the Prophet, permissable for guidance? Well, according to the following ayats, they are not, because we cannot prove them via Al-Qur'an, to wit:

77:50. Fabi-ayyi hadeethin
baAAdahu yu/minoona

77:50. Then what Message, after that, will they believe in?

There is no Sunnah of the Prophet or Sunnah of Muhammad or Sunnah of the Messenger mentioned in Al-Qur'an. The only two sunnahs mentioned are the Sunnah of Allah and the sunnah of the ancients.

35:43. Istikbaran fee al-ardi wamakra alssayyi-i wala yaheequ almakru alssayyi-o illa bi-ahlihi fahal yanthuroona illa sunnata al-awwaleena
falan tajida lisunnati Allahi
tabdeelan walan tajida lisunnati Allahi
tahweelan

35:43 On account of their arrogance in the land and their plotting of Evil, but the plotting of Evil will hem in only the authors thereof. Now are they but looking for the way the ancients
were dealt with? But no change wilt thou find in Allah.s way
(of dealing): no turning off wilt thou find in Allah's way
.

Now, if we are to continue to say that there is a sunnah of the Prophet or Muhammad or the Messenger, then we must be able to go to Al-Qur'an and display the ayat where Allah, as with the other two sunnahs, names a...sunnah of the Prophet. If we cannot do this, then we cannot prove there is any sunnah of the Prophet which we should be following.

Looking forward to your response.

Alsalam 'alaykom

Are u claiming that there is no Sunnah, and the Prophet's Ahadeeth are not true ??? [Image: dry.gif] if so then here are Ayat in Quran :

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

7. What Allâh gave as booty (Fai') to His Messenger (Muhammad ) from the people of the townships, - it is for Allâh, His Messenger (Muhammad ), the kindred (of Messenger Muhammad ), the orphans, AlMasâkin (the poor), and the wayfarer, in order that it may not become a fortune used by the rich among you. And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad ) gives you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it) , and fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is Severe in punishment.
59, Surat Al-Hashr.

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

32. Say (O Muhammad ): "Obey Allâh and the Messenger (Muhammad )." But if they turn away, then Allâh does not like the disbelievers.
3, Al-Imran

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

33. O you who believe! Obey Allâh, and obey the Messenger (Muhammad ) and render not vain your deeds.
47,Surat Muhammad

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

42. On that day those who disbelieved and disobeyed the Messenger (Muhammad ) will wish that they were buried in the earth, but they will never be able to hide a single fact from Allâh.

59. O you who believe! Obey Allâh and obey the Messenger (Muhammad ), and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority. (And) if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allâh and His Messenger (), if you believe in Allâh and in the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for final determination.

69. And whoso obeys Allâh and the Messenger (Muhammad ), then they will be in the company of those on whom Allâh has bestowed His Grace, of the Prophets, the Siddiqûn (those followers of the Prophets who were first and foremost to believe in them, like Abu Bakr AsSiddiq ), the martyrs, and the righteous. And how excellent these companions are!

80. He who obeys the Messenger (Muhammad ), has indeed obeyed Allâh, but he who turns away, then we have not sent you (O Muhammad ) as a watcher over them. 4, Surat Al-Nisa'

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

1. By the star when it goes down, (or vanishes).

2. Your companion (Muhammad ) has neither gone astray nor has erred.

3. Nor does he speak of (his own) desire.

4. It is only an Inspiration that is inspired.

5. He has been taught (this Qur'ân) by one mighty in power [Jibrael (Gabriel)].

53, Al-Najm

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

54. Say: "Obey Allâh and obey the Messenger, but if you turn away, he (Messenger Muhammad ) is only responsible for the duty placed on him (i.e. to convey Allâh's Message) and you for that placed on you. If you obey him, you shall be on the right guidance. The Messenger's duty is only to convey (the message) in a clear way (i.e. to preach in a plain way)."

56. And perform AsSalât (IqâmatasSalât), and give Zakât and obey the Messenger (Muhammad ) that you may receive mercy (from Allâh).

24,Surat Al-Noor

Now the above ayas show that we must obey our prophet in every word he utters, and whatever he speaks he speaks not of himself but by order of Allah as in the above ayat of Surat Al-Najm.

Now the below ayas, show that the prophet is to teach the Quran and Hikma, and the hikma as many scholars stated means it is the Sunnah of the prophet:

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

129. "Our Lord! Send amongst them a Messenger of their own (and indeed Allâh answered their invocation by sending Muhammad Peace be upon him ), who shall recite unto them Your Verses and instruct them in the Book (this Qur'ân) and Al-Hikmah (full knowledge of the Islâmic laws and jurisprudence or wisdom or Prophethood, etc.), and sanctify them. Verily! You are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise."

151. Similarly (to complete My Blessings on you) We have sent among you a Messenger (Muhammad ) of your own, reciting to you Our Verses (the Qur'ân) and sanctifying you, and teaching you the Book (the Qur'ân) and the Hikmah (i.e. Sunnah, Islâmic laws and Fiqh - jurisprudence), and teaching you that which you used not to know.

231. And when you have divorced women and they have fulfilled the term of their prescribed period, either take them back on reasonable basis or set them free on reasonable basis. But do not take them back to hurt them, and whoever does that, then he has wronged himself. And treat not the Verses (Laws) of Allâh as a jest, but remember Allâh's Favours on you (i.e. Islâm), and that which He has sent down to you of the Book (i.e. the Qur'ân) and Al-Hikmah (the Prophet's Sunnah - legal ways - Islâmic jurisprudence, etc.) whereby He instructs you. And fear Allâh, and know that Allâh is All-Aware of everything. 2, Surat Al-Baqara

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

48. And He (Allâh) will teach him ['Iesa (Jesus)] the Book and Al-Hikmah (i.e. the Sunnah, the faultless speech of the Prophets, wisdom, etc.), (and) the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel). 3, Al-Emran

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

54. Or do they envy men (Muhammad and his followers) for what Allâh has given them of His Bounty? Then We had already given the family of Ibrâhim (Abraham) the Book and AlHikmah (AsSunnah - Divine Inspiration to those Prophets not written in the form of a book), and conferred upon them a great kingdom.

113. Had not the Grace of Allâh and His Mercy been upon you (O Muhammad ), a party of them would certainly have made a decision to mislead you, but (in fact) they mislead none except their own selves, and no harm can they do to you in the least. Allâh has sent down to you the Book (The Qur'ân), and AlHikmah (Islâmic laws, knowledge of legal and illegal things i.e. the Prophet's Sunnah - legal ways), and taught you that which you knew not. And Ever Great is the Grace of Allâh unto you (O Muhammad ).

4, Al-Nisa'

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

34. And remember (O you the members of the Prophet's family, the Graces of your Lord), that which is recited in your houses of the Verses of Allâh and AlHikmah (i.e. Prophet's Sunnah legal ways, etc. so give your thanks to Allâh and glorify His Praises for this Qur'an and the Sunnah). Verily, Allâh is Ever Most Courteous, WellAcquainted with all things.

34, Surat Al-Ahzab

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

2. He it is Who sent among the unlettered ones a Messenger (Muhammad ) from among themselves, reciting to them His Verses, purifying them (from the filth of disbelief and polytheism), and teaching them the Book (this Qur'ân, Islâmic laws and Islâmic jurisprudence) and Al-Hikmah (As-Sunnah: legal ways, orders, acts of worship, etc. of Prophet Muhammad ). And verily, they had been before in mainfest error; 62, Surat Al-Jum'aa

So I think this is enough proof, that the Prophet's Ahadeeth, is from Allah, whatever he speaks he speaks by order of Allah, so all the ahadeeth here by Abunoran are authentic and are studied, and scholars gave their time money and effort and health to collect the correct ahadeeth and these scholars are known. So what more proof do u want, MUSLIM BROTHER [Image: sleep.gif].

And the ayas u mentioned, he is addressing the Kuffar, that what do else do they want to beleive in but the word of Allah and Islam, and u must know that Al-Sunnah and Ahadeeth came to clear explain many issues that cannot be understood by many simple people.

Second, there are so many things that are not mentioned, like how many times u pray, or how do u pray, and so many rules in the heritage and marriage, they were mentioned in the Quran in general and the Sunnah explained it explicitly. so remember:

3. Nor does he speak of (his own) desire.

4. It is only an Inspiration that is inspired.

Wasalam 'Alaykom Wa Rahmat Allah
