Moderators Should Stop Interfering
#1

Bismillah ... Salaam Alaikum

I completely understand the problem of some members who feel their posts are being edited and deleted. This is a common practice with most moderators in majority of these Islamic discussion forums. Such moderators and admins are spoiling the (should be) clean atmosphere of forums through partisan tactics and their own kind of 'politics.' Much to my surprise, I have also observed that many a times those members who come by to ridicule Islam are tolerated, while the articles of genuine Muslims who express their love and loyalty for our beautiful faith are edited or deleted, and occasionally they are also banned. Isn't it shameful ??

It's about time that such moderators gave up this attitude of total authoritarianism. They should know that this is a forum and not a military academy, and they are simply moderators and not the commander-in-chief. Apart from carrying out an unethical practice, they are only making a laughing stock of themselves.

May Allah (SWT) guide us all, especially the moderators .. Ameen.

Welcome to our board first and thanku for ur contribution.

Before u jump to conclusions from what u c on surface, u better read more on this

forum, and not just a few that are showing in front of your eyes, non muslims will be banned after warning, if they do not abide to the rules then they are banned. Also muslim members if they in any way cause fitnah on this board by calling muslim members as hyppocrites and claim that they are the only ones who have the knowledge, and those who come to rise certain ideas of theirs will not be tolerated, we are all here to serve Allah, to help the non muslims c the truth, we were all chosen by Allah, even u to serve him, and him only, we are not here to fight or debate or show who is better in his knowledge, u should know that the moment a muslim says to a brother or sister muslim I am better than u, then he has considered himself higher and better than them, how can one judge himself? how can one know he is better than any1, n1 but Allah, n1 but he knows who serves him sincerely and who doesnt and only he who knows who is a hyppocrite and who is not. On everyboard there are rules that everybody should abide to if any1 breaks these rules he is warned, just like any board on this wide net, if he repeats the fault, then finish he is banned. Wether muslim or non muslim. Don't u remember the story of Amr Ibn Al-Aas son when he hit a christian qibt in Egypt just because he won a race over him read it below :

A man from the Copts (the Christians living in Egypt) came to Omar Ibn al-Khattab in Al-Madinah, and said, “O Commander of the Faithful! I seek refuge in you from oppression.” Omar replied, “You have sought refuge where it is to be sought.” The Egyptian said, “I was racing the son of Amr ibn al-Aas (The Governor of Egypt and one of the Companions of the Prophet), and defeated him. Then he began to beat me with a whip saying: 'I am the Son of Nobles!'” So, Omar wrote to Amr commanding him to appear before him with his son. So they appeared before him. Omar inquired, “Where is the Egyptian? He is to take the whip and beat him!” Then the Egyptian began to beat the son of Amr with the whip as Umar said to him, “Beat the Son of Nobles!”

Anas said, “So he beat him. I swear by Allah, as he was beating him we pitied his wailing. He did not desist until we stopped him.”

Then Omar said to the Egyptian, “Now beat the whip upon Amr’s bald head!” He replied, “O Commander of the Faithful! For it was his son who beat me, and I have evened the score with him.”

Upon this Omar said to Amr, “Since when do you enslave the people when their mothers bore them as free men?” He said, “O Commander of the Faithful! I was unaware of this, and he did not come to me (for justice).”

I put this story here to show that our relegion is a just one, we ban both sides

Muslim or non muslim if they do not abide by rules, if they show any behaviour that our great relegion did not advise us to do. We become a bit lenient at first with non muslims to show that our relegion is a tolerante one, just like our beloved prophet sister Zaynab, do u remember what he did to the kuffar when he entered Makka, he could have killed them all, but he told them u r free to go, and I think u know the story, why? to show others especially kuffars the true manners of a muslim, forgiving loving and tolerent. But if they reach to a point to swearing or slandering or mocking then Jihad starts. And I hope u will remember this aya :

Bismillah Al Rahman Al-Raheem

159. And by the Mercy of Allâh, you dealt with them gently. And had you been severe and harshhearted, they would have broken away from about you; so pass over (their faults), and ask (Allâh's) Forgiveness for them; and consult them in the affairs. Then when you have taken a decision, put your trust in Allâh, certainly, Allâh loves those who put their trust (in Him).
3, Al-Emran

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

125. Invite (mankind, O Muhammad ) to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islâm) with wisdom (i.e. with the Divine Inspiration and the Qur'ân) and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided.
16, Al-Nahl.

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

46. And argue not with the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), unless it be in (a way) that is better (with good words and in good manner, inviting them to Islâmic Monotheism with His Verses), except with such of them as do wrong, and say (to them): "We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you; our Ilâh (God) and your Ilâh (God) is One (i.e. Allâh), and to Him we have submitted (as Muslims)."
29, Al-Ankabut

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

108. And insult not those whom they (disbelievers) worship besides Allâh, lest they insult Allâh wrongfully without knowledge. Thus We have made fairseeming to each people its own doings; then to their Lord is their return and He shall then inform them of all that they used to do.
6, Al-An'am

So this is how we should treat non muslims in calling them to islam, in a good manner unless they do or say anything wrong.

And the spoiling u r talking about was done by members who did not abide by rules which should be cleaned. And the authoritarianism ur talking about is our job, we are authorised to watch people and their attitude if it is against the rule then sorry u r not welcome. And may Allah forgive u for this "<b> Apart from carrying out an unethical practice, they are only making a laughing stock of themselves. </b>'".

I hope instead of attacking moderators, do what u r supposed to do on this forum, da'wa and as Allah mentioned in his verses, this is our first concern on this forum, inviting others to Islam by being tolerant and kind with them, and not to frighten them away by swearing at them, unless as I said before they slander or go beyond boundaries. And we do not ban any muslim brother or sister unless he/her goes beyond boundries as well.

I am not trying to defend myself or any moderator, I am trying to show what is our mission here and why we are here. Serve Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, and be sincere in it, and Allah only knows what is in hearts. I was not obliged to answer u or clear this matter, but I answered so such a matter is cleared for once and all, and I hope that all members should abide to rules and regulations before joining this board and I hope that every member will read the rules carefully and abide to them.

I will pin this post, so it will stay there to be seen.

Ameeeen and u as well Ya Rab.

And remember

Bismillah Al-Raman Al-Raheem

<b>104. Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good (Islâm), enjoining Al-Ma'rûf (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism and all that Islâm orders one to do) and forbidding Al-Munkar (polytheism and disbelief and all that Islâm has forbidden). And it is they who are the successful.</b>

Shokran for your detailed input sister. I understand all that. But I still stand firm by my opinion that let Allah (SWT) be the Judge to decide who is guilty of 'fitnah.' Lets not take this responsibility upon ourselves, because it is impossible for us to know the hearts & minds of people by just reading a few flying words on cyberspace! Wrongly accusing a believer on the basis of incorrect judgement can be an enormous sin in the Sight of Allah.

In the words of our beloved Prophet (PBUH): "It is better for a leader to make a mistake in forgiving than to make a mistake in punishing." (Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 1011)

Zainab ..

Yes I agree with u, so shouldn't we also let Allah decide who is hyppocrite or not, isn't it Allah(SWT) alone who knows what is in the heart of his slaves, no1 should claim that he knows who is munafeq or not, even Prophet Mohammad(PBUH) did not know, he only knew by revelation of the 12 hyppocrites in Madinah, so who are we to

describe a brother muslim a hyppocrite, did we dig in his heart or did we read his mind, no only Allah knows and only Allah decides who is hyppocrite and who is not, and when I said fitnah I am not accusing a beleiver of anything. The door of Fitnah opened since the death of Omar Ibn Al-Khatab(May Allah(SWS) be pleased with him) and there was war between beleivers, and it was fitnah, so if I use this termenology it does not mean that I give to myself the right to judge who is a beleiver or not. Anyways I will not go more in detail, I already put my point of view before, and that there are rules and regulations to abide by, and I hope that we will not c any misunderstandings anymore.

Thanku for answering, I respect your opinion and I hope u will stay with us on

board, and again I welcome u to the forum.
