Difficulty With Openly Embracing...
#11

Quote:U know why brother, because their faith is stronger than ours, we are born muslims, we do not learn our relegion right. But when a non muslim reverts, he reverts after asking many questions so that he will have no doubt, and if any1 asked him/her, why u became a muslim they will be strong enough to answer. But sadly speaking millions of born muslims around the world dont know their relegion and how great it is.

the arrow had been shot into my head.... sadly, i'm one of the borm muslims who doesn't even know Islam....

OOooooooooh sorry brother, I hope no serious injuries occurred, [Image: huh.gif][Image: laugh.gif] .

Anyways we are all here to learn and teach, no1 is perfect and no1 is all knowing except our Creator, it is by his aid that we gain more knowledge and wisdom, so instead of just sitting there and feeling sorry for yourself for the injury I made [Image: tongue.gif] , get into action brother and start climbing [Image: smile.gif]

yes, that's right. as for myself i was a Muslim just because my parents are Muslims...i used not to pray (except friday prayer) but alhamdulilah i never missed fasting ramadan since i was 12 years old.

and then my brohter woke me up one day and yelled "another plane...slammed the other tower!!!" i said "plane what? second who? second without first? tower what? funny way to wake me up!!!" he yelled "NO...big attack on America!!" i didn't believe a word until i watched the live coverage on TV.....then my brother said "its Hamas who did it..i'm sure" that was stupid...later the news flowed...Bin Laden is responsible for the biggest terrorist attack in history (after Hiroshima and Nagazaki of course) and now the world is talking about Islam...Islam!!!..where did i hear this word before?..aah...it's my religion..how did i forgot that!!!

so i started exploring my religion seriously......i was in a state of "Ghafla" before 9-11..but not after it....i became aware that i own a treasure..a grace from God which i'd never EVER swap for anything in the world......and alhamdulila for the grace of Islam.

and now i'm very thrilled to meet this man/woman..who may lived 500 or 1000 eyars ago and decided one day to embrace the true religion...i didn't know how his/her family dealt with it and i don't know how he/she looks like and i don't even konw his/her name but i and my family owe him/her alot because he/she is supposed to be my first Muslim grandfather/mother....if i went to heaven i will invite him/her in the first day to my palace garden where he/she can tell me his/her conversion story [Image: biggrin.gif]

we are all children of reverts sister radiyah.

regarding the subject of "reverts are better than us" read the hadith when prophet Mohammed angerily ordered his companions not to kill Kaffirs children and when they exclaimed "but they are the children of Kaffirs!!!" prophet Mohammed said to them "and who among you is NOT a children of Kaffir?"....a simple fact...the Companions were a children of Kaffirs.....10000 times better than us children of Muslims? i say NO, they are 1000000000 times better not just 10000 .

Quote: Salaam alaikum,
My friend, you and I are both in the very same situation.

I am an American Christan, but I have great interest in Islam and put my faith in Islam.

My parents are die-hard Christians and also dissaprove of anything Islamic.

I read the Quran almost every single night, and I visit this forum to learn as much as possible.

I would really like to revert to Islam, but I am very worried about the difficulties I would have (my family, western culture, career, friends, etc).

Insha Allah you and I will both be able to over-come this and embrace what God has planned for us.

Every thing that happens, and all that does not happen, does so by the will of God. You would not have a spark of interest of Islam, and you would not be reading the Quran if God did not want you to. But He wants you to - do not turn away from the sign he has given you.

I understand your situation exactly, and I know just how difficult it is.

There is much to be learned, and this is a great place for it!

Perhaps my thread "Questions for Muslims" in the "Non-Muslim" section will be of some use to you.

Mash a Allah Josh, excellent explanation and advice, except one thing, only if U R so serious about it that Allah Helps u, for Allah Does not need any of us while we need Him. When Allah Sees how much a person is seeking knowledge and searching for the truth. Allah Sends Him/her means to aid.

As for yor thread, I was going to suggest it but u already did.

Suhra dear welcome to the board, just keep what u r doing, when u feel an urge to utter Shadahad just do it because as u said u dont guarantee u will live one more day to do it.

check this thread, Insh a Allah u will find many answers, specially about why Quran was not tampered with.

And I am moving this thread to to Non Muslims

assalamualaykum...

i just can't imagine if i wasn't born as a muslim....

you see, in the current situation where peoples are addressing muslims as terrorists.... i might as well ended up hating Islam because of all the misinformations on Islam....

Shukur...... Alhamdulillah..... [Image: smile.gif]
