Because we don't want to kill civilians. If the lives of civilians didn't metter to us we would take Fallujah in 2 days

Is that your argument against Fallujah??? Not much of a comeback!

You definitely are ignorant! "Because we don't want to kill civilians"!!!! You make me laaaaaf...Next thing you'll be saying is that the abuse at Abu Ghraib prison isn't true and Elvis is still alive!

History shows how many civilian deaths have been caused by the hands of the US military. Does vietnam ring a bell???

Do you know how many civilians were and are being killed in Iraq since the war???

Forget the war for a second...How many civilians died due to sanctions??? Everybody seems to have forgotten the sanctions imposed upon Iraq which were on the level of genocide! Yet these sanctions did not hurt the Iraqi leadership as they were living in their 5 star palaces, it was the normal man on the street who was suffering who I regard as a civilian.

Maybe the impression of the world of the US is true of the fact that the Americans do not know anything beyond the US! I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of them didn't know where Iraq was on the political map!!

Yes, we do try to avoid civilian casualties. Hi Guys, its HB. For some reason or another I can't log in with my former nick. Anyway, to DEEN's statements. We do try avoiding civilian causalties unlike real terrorist organizations like Hamas and Al Qaeda. The civilians who die in war are collateral damage as far as I'm concerned

Bin Laden is hardly a person any muslim should look up to. If Osama were to adamant about helping his fellow muslims, why wouldn't he spend his millions and millions of unearned dollars putting some hospitals, schools, or even more novel, roads in Afghanistan? Of course he blew that idea and decided to be an international pain in the ass and now he's probably dead from his failing kidneys in a cave in Pakistan right now. Bin Laden is no more of an idol that Bush, Mussolini, or Stalin are. He just happens to be muslim. Don't let that keep you from loathing him.

Actually the millions and lillions of usama's family are used for the very reasons that u just suggested. and specially in the us they are very happy to accept his family's money even institutions like harvard university. Also don't forget who made usama what he is. As long as he was murdering for us he was an ok guy but now that he has turned against them he is a terrorist

also the thing is i don't think that u r going to convince anybody either way.

The muslims more or less know that if usama is behind the attrocities committed on 9/11 etc than no one would feel ok about that and the non-muslims, a lot of them just talk about these issues to stir up controversy and that's it. its not that they want to learn about islam. i mean if u want to know about islam then have the common sense to go the authentic sources and learn from them. talk about the faith, what it preaches, don't go by the acts of a few people who call themselves muslims who may or may not be correct. Would u try and understand christianity by the actions of the crusaiders?

a word of caution for the muslims as well. don't fall in the trap of these futile discussions. i have seen these people many times, they just want to creat fitnah, they ask you questions and they are not even bothered about the answers because in their minds they already think that they know what is right and what is wrong.

as salam alykom sister Lulu

very well put, that is why I made a question to the poster of the question to which I never got a reply.

well before closing this thread as Lulu suggested, if u care about an Islamic response which we put in many other threads:

1. no one is allowed to judge another Muslim as being true Muslim or not.

2. Even a murderer we can not say this one is going to Hell, this is Allah's domain to say who is going where.

3. A Muslim is judged by his intention, according to this no one knows what is in the heart of any one, even one who embraces Islam for reasons that looks like not sincere, still we can not judge.

4. A Muslim who falls into this problem of judging others is in serious trouble with Allah.

5. A specific factor about Usama in particular, people tend to judge him with what he said or did, who can cofirm that he said or did what is being probagated.

Now having this said.
