as salam alykom

I got this idea of compiling hadeeth which gives us hopes by gaining rewards of huge deeds through simple actions.

In other words Allah's cheap alternatives. I hope that all members continue bringing similar hadeeth in order to make this a good reference for all of us:

Narrated Abi Horairah that poor people from the immigrants came to the Messenger and said people of Duthour (wealth) attained the high ranks and permenant luxury. The Messenger (PAPBUH) asked and what is that? They replied: they perform prayer just as we perform prayer, they fast just as we fast, they give out money for charity (sadaqah) and we do not, they free slaves and we do not. The Messenger (PAPBUH) said: shall I not teach you something through which you will catch up with those who passed you and be ahead of those who succeed you and no one shall be better than you except one who follows what you did? They said yes Messenger of Allah. He told them say Sobhan Allah, Alhamdulelah and Allahu Akbar 33 times each after each prayer. (reported by Muslim)

Narrated Anas Ibn Malik that the Messenger of Allah (PAPBUH) said: the Messenger of Allah (PAPBUH) said one who prays Fajr in congregation, continued sitting making dhikr (remembrance of Allah) till sunrise, then performed two Raka`a shall gain the reward of performing Haj and Umra, the narrator continued that the Messenger of Allah (PAPBUH) said complete, complete, complete. (reported by Termidhi)

Under the authority of Abi Horaira that the Messenger of Allah (PAPBUH) said: "Shall I not tell you of with what Allah erases sins and elevates ranks, perform perfect wodu even under difficult circumstances (such as in case of cold whether or injured part of the body), increased number of steps towards masajed (mosques), and anticipating prayer after prayer, this is Rabat this is Rebat this is Rebat (Rebat is when one stands at the borders of the Muslim country protecting it against invasion)" (reported by Muslim)

Narrated under the authority of Abi A`ayash that the Messenger of Allah (PAPBUH) said one who say in the morning La ilaha ila Allah wahdahu la shareeka lahu, lahul molk, walahu lhamd wa howa a`ala kol shaye-en qadeer, shall receive equal reward of freeing a slave of the children of ‏ Ismail, ten good deeds (hasanat) shall be recorded for him, ten sins shall be eliminated off him, shall be elevated ten ranks and shall be protected against shaytan till the evening. If he say this in the evening shall receive the same till the morning. A man saw the Messenger of Allah in a vision (while sleeping) and told him that Abi A`ayash is quoting you say so and so, he said Abu A`ayash said the truth. (reported by Ahmed)

Narrated Jaber Ibn Abdullah Al Ansary saying I heard the Messenger of Allah (PAPBUH) say: One who fasts Ramadan and six days of Shawal, is considered as if he fasted the whole year (reported by Ahmed)

Subhanallah... Allah has been so merciful to us that he gave us these simple ways to gain entry into jannah...As long as we do these acts with ikhlaas there is no way we can go wrong...

When i first heard of the above hadith i was simply blown away to learn that such an act that is sooo simple can be sooo rewarding....

Perhaps one of the great things is that the few ahadith that muslimah quoted is not all there are many more...

Insha allah i hope that this thread wets the appetite of the muslims who read it so that they may be motivated to go further and learn of more ways to benefit...

I urge all those who read this thread (Myself first) to go to the quraan, authentic hadith and consensus of the 'uluma to gain knowledge of these other <i>"cheap alternatives"</i> (this is a really cool name hahaha i like it) and to <b>PRACTICE IT IN OUR LIVES</b>

may we all benefit from this thread and may i please make a call for all others who know of hadith on this topic to post more...I would really like to know more insha allah

wa salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh

Jaabir related that the Prophet saws said: "Whoever says, 'How perfect Allah is, The Supreme, and I praise Him' (Subhanallahi al Atheem wa bihamdi) a palm tree is planted for him in Paradise." (al-Tirmidhee)

Sa'd said: "We were sitting with the Messenger of Allah saws and he said, 'Are any of you unable to gain a thousand good deeds each day?' Somebody then asked him, 'How does one achieve a thousand good deeds?' He replied, 'He should say How Perfect Allah is (Subhanallah) one hundred times, for a thousand good deeds are recorded for him or a thousand bad deeds are wiped away."

With the first thikr, Insha'Allah I will have an enormous forest in Jennah. Insha'Allah. With the second one, it only takes two minutes to have such a heavy reward. I know that I can always use more good deeds and less bad ones. [Image: smile.gif]

I have more that I like but I must write a paper. I will also be out of town for almost a week. Please make du'a. I am going to a muslim youth camp, even though I am not so much a youth anymore. [Image: biggrin.gif]

Reported by Baiyhaqy that Asma-a Bint Yazeed Al Ansaryah came to the Messenger (Sallah Allah a`alyhee wa sallam while he is among his companions, and she said: O you are more loved to me than my father and mother I am the delegate of women to you and be informed myself is a sacrifice to you, that not a women whether living in the western or eastern part who became aware of my coming out except that she agrees with my opinion. Allah Sent u with the truth for both men and women, we believed in you and your Lord who Sent you. We women are restricted and limited, confined in your houses, means for your to satisfy your lust, bearing your children. While you men are advantaged over us with Juma`a and congregation prayer, visiting the ill, attending funeral, and better than that Jihad in the name of Allah. The man if he goes out for Haj, Umra or Ribat (remaining to protect the Muslims country borders), we stay behind looking after your money, weaving your clothes, investing your money, thus we do not share your reward o Messenger of Allah? The Messenger of Allah turned his face fully towards his this one? They said no O Messenger of Allah, we never thought a woman may conclude to something like this? The Prophet sallah Allah a`alyhee wa sallam turned back and told her: Go back woman and tell those behind you of other women that a woman's excellent attitude with her husband, seeking his satisfaction, and obeying him equals all this. The woman went back saying Allah u Akbar out of happiness

Subhanallah, I posted that post BEFORE I went to the camp. That shows how much I am missed around here...[Image: biggrin.gif]

I learned a du'a in the camp that probably many people already know but... I like it so this could just be a lesson in patience.

Radeetu billahi raba wa bi Islami Deena wa bi Muhammaden (salallahu alaihi wa salam) nabeeya wa rasoola.

I am please with Allah as Lord, and with Islam as a Religion, and with Muhammad (prayers of Allah upon him and peace) as Prophet and Messenger.

Say this du'a three times in the morning and three times in the evening. Whoever does this Allah is Pleased with him.

(You can also say it after the Adhan).

Allahumma innee asbahtu ush-hiduka wa ush-hidu hamalata `arshika wa malaa ikataka wa jamee`a khalqika `annaka Antallaahu laa `ilaaha ilaa Anta wahdaka laa shareeka laka wa anna Muhammadan `abduka wa Rasooluka.

O Allah I have entered a new morning and bear witness before You and before the bearers of Your Throne, Your angels and all creation that surely You are Allah, Alone with no partners and that Muhammadan is Your slave and Your Messenger

Accodring to hadeeth, when u say this one time, one forth of your body is saved from Hell, two times half of your body is saved, three times shall save third of your body and four times shall save the full body.

Allah will spare whoever says this four times in the morning or evening from fire of Hell (Abu Dawud)

(a muslim is supposed to say this dua 4 times morning and evening, when u say it in the evening u say Allahumma innee amsaytu)

Narrated Ibi Ayoub may Allah be pleased with him that the Messenger sallah Allah a`alyhee wa sallam said:” One who says la ilaha ila Allah wahdahu la shareeka lahu lahul molk walahul hamd wa huwa a`ala kol shay-en qadeer ten times, it will be recorded equal to four necks of the children of Ismail” (reported by Bukhari and Muslim)

N.B The exact meaning is that one who says the dua ten times receives a reward equal of freeing 4 slaves. Sobhan Allah Al Kareem.

Narrated Abi Horairah that the Messenger of Allah sallah Allah a`alyhee wa sallam said:’ one who says in a day la ilaha ila Allah wahdahu la shareeka lahu lahul molk walahul hamd wa huwa a`ala kol shay-en qadeer hundred times shall be recorded equal to ten necks, hundred hasanah (good deeds) shall be registered for him, hundred bad deeds shall be omitted from him, shall be to him a protection against shaytan on that day till the evening and no one shall come with a better deed than him except one who made more times than this” (reported by Ahmed)

N.B The exact meaning is that one who says the dua hundred times receives a reward equal of freeing 4 slaves. Sobhan Allah Al Kareem

Ibi Saleh slave of Uthman narrated that Uthman told him explaining I heard Uthman while in Mina say O people I will convey to you a hadeeth I heard from the Messenger of Allah sallah Allah a`alyhee wa sallam saying:” Making Ribat on day for the sake of Allah (fee sabeel Allah) is better than spending thousand days in other activities, so every one may make Ribat just he pleases, did I convery? They said yes. He said O Allahum be a witness”. (reported by Ahmed)

Narrated Abdullah Ibn Omar that the Messenger of Allah sallah Allah a`alyhee wa sallam said:” the Ribat of one day is better than fasting and making qiyam (late night prayer) for one full month” (reported by Ahmed)

Narrated Salman that the Messenger of Allah sallah Allah a`alyhee wa sallam said:” Making Ribat for one day and one night is better than fasting and making qiyam for one month, fasting without breaking the fast and standing up in prayer at night without taking a rest, and if he dies in the state of Murabit, shall be blessed with it as a righteous deed till he resurrects and shall be protected against torment of grave” (reported by Ahmed)

N.B Ribat means taking a position to protect borders of a Muslim country.

Narrated Ibn Abbass may Allah be pleased with him that the Messenger (PAPBUH) said:' Reciting Edha zulzelat (Surat zalzlah Quran 99) provides an equal reward of reciting half of Quran, qol ya auhal kaferoun provides an equal reward of reciting quarter of Quran, and Qol huwallah Ahad provides a reward of reciting one third of Quran" (reported by Termidhi)

sobhan Allah Alkareem, hurry up my brothers and sisters and take the reward
