An advice for My Muslim brothers and sister on the board
#1

assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullah

Bismillah,

My Brothers and Sisters in Islam,

When responding to a post or posting a topic we should be careful and

1) make sure the information we are posting is correct, accurate and authentic

2) before posting a hadith make sure of its authenticity (saheeh, , weak ..etc.)

3) do not respond if you are not sure of the answer and dont' speak without knowledge, don't just post your opinion without knowledge, ask the people of knowledge to make sure your info is correct and ask them for daleel (proof).

We are going to be questioned by Allah about what we say, and the info we speard, we don't want to speard wrong and inaccurate information.

I think that is all I wanted to say, if I remember anything else I will add it here insha Allah.

as salam alykom Ukhti

jazaki Allah khairan for your input, however, Alhamdulelah we are all trying to learn, learning come sometimes thru error and correcting. Pls do correct if u find something, it is good for all of us to check and make research, Alhamdulelah, sometimes it is good even to respond to questions after searching. so pls if u find something that u feel needs checking do check it and post the correction. We are all here to learn, also it is practically impossible for mods and admis to read every post, so it is the duty of every member to share his/her knowledge. That is why we are all here

Some members are young starting their steps on the knowledge of religion, we like to encourage that and help them even improve.

hope u understand my points

we will all benefit Insh a Allah

Yes Ukhti I understand what you said [Image: smile.gif]

That was my point,, if you don't know do research and ask, so you will insha Allah respond with correct and authentic information.

Some people ( I don't mean specifically members of this board... I am speaking generally) post their opinions or what they think is correct without making sure the information they are putting IS correct, and this is serious, because we will be asked about information we spread without being sure if it is correct or not before spreading it, if you are not sure ask. [Image: smile.gif]

You can ask on this board if you don't know anyone who is knowledgable or a site where to ask and insha Allah someone can help.

That doesn't mean we don't make mistakes, if we make a mistake we correct each other in a polite way, we are humans and make mistakes, but we also try our best to spread only correct information, and we help each other learn.

Alsalam 'alaykom

Who is without fault??

Perfection is for Allah alone, we are not even scholars, even scholars make mistakes, we are all here to learn, and may Allah Almighty accept from us. We should accept if others show our mistakes, I admit here sometimes I am hasty in writing or answering some topics, but it is only out of my enthusiasm, but u r right sister Ammatullah, we must be careful, and may Allah the Almighty be our assistant.

wasalam 'alaykom wa rahamat Allah wa Barakatuh

This is good advice for all people, not just muslims.

Mark Twain once said "The less apt a man is to make absolute statements, the less apt a man is to look like a fool."

If you are not sure of something, be sure to keep your mouth shut, or at least, make it clear that you may be wrong and would appreciate some assistance in clarification.

Good thread.
