Living amongst the Kuffaar
#41

Michelle certainly has a point, in terms of responsibility. As Iblis will say on the day of Iqamah: Blame me not this day, but blame yourselves. I had no power over you i just called you and you responded.

We as Muslims have a responsibility to protect ourselves. Hence the need for hijra. And there is no doubt that living in the west is harmful for muslims, our deen, our lifestyle and our mentalities are not compatible as Allah subahna wa tala has told us in some many ayat.

Quote:naseeha asks, "can you advise me on living in a western country..."? The answer is simple: just like in any country, Western or non-Western, avoid all immorality and sin. It's no different if you live in the West. If you fall into immorality and sin it's your own fault, not the fault of the country you live in!
There is no society more decadant than the west. So its harder to avoid the lewdness of these societies. Is there any Muslim country where women are available to buy in shop windows??

But that doesn't mean that a muslim man has to lower himself to their level. No, this where the responsibility comes in. And also i'm not suggesting that all non muslims indulge in this. Our countries with ALL their problems and we have many due to our kafir leaders, but even with all their fitna Alhamduillah we are still soooooooo more respectable.

And Michelle a muslim asked the question, and we as muslims don't take the opinion of the kuffar regarding our religion. Well not unless wer'e seriously misguided.

We'll have to watch this space to find out if anyone here is........

You cant deny it if you live in a cancer you would certainly be affected by it in some way or another.

There are things that your people do that you dont even consider it bad let alone dissociating from it and hating it.

Your not the only one who grow up in the west, so we know how your people lifestyle works.

i was suppose to join this topic earlier but anyway .. here we go.

MY OWN OPINION.

i'm one of those who does experiance the life among Non Muslims. and i have to declare that my faith was never that strong while i was living among Muslim community.

living among Non Mislims it gives me the chance to preach and to teach others about Islam.. and in the same time it teachs me that i have to gain more knowledge about Islam so i can answer any question Inshaa Allah when someone come and ask.. Wowww how wonderful is the life among non muslims especially when they come and say Laellaha ella Allah Muhammd rasolullah.( THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD AND THAT MUHAMMD IS HIS MESENGER)

in my opinion.. living among non muslims is much better.

Akhee what kind of statement is this???

The people on this forum never cease to amaze me. SubhanAllah.

Youre answer reminded me of a convert sister, who was invited to a dinner we sisters had. And i noticed she looked a bit uncomfortable, so i went to sit next to her to chat. And she turned and said to me I don't like the company of muslim women!! SubhanAllah so who's company did she like? [Image: rolleyes.gif]

How can we as Muslims prefer the kuffar to our own people??

And you have answered slightly different wel mel but the implications are still there. How can you prefer to be in a society which Allah subhana wa tala despises? A society who do not give Allah subhana wa tala His Rights.

Just to hear the adhan call you for salat from your house. SubhanAllah just this in itself is worth making hijra for.

SubhanAllah SubhanAllah

Asalaamu alikum wa rhamatuallahi wa barakatuh,

It makes me sad that my Muslim Bothers and Sisters here are saying we prefer the kuffar to our own Bothers and Sisters. Subhanallah. Walallhe, I have never said this.

If you would take this WHOLE quote from a Brother's statement instead of just picking what you want and twisting his statement we would not have all this confusion.

Quote:living among Non Mislims it gives me the chance to preach and to teach others about Islam.. and in the same time it teachs me that i have to gain more knowledge about Islam so i can answer any question Inshaa Allah when someone come and ask.. The Brother just stated that he gets the chance to spread Islam and in turn it helps him grow to be a better Muslim.<b>especially when they come and say Laellaha ella Allah Muhammd rasolullah.( THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD AND THAT MUHAMMD IS HIS MESENGER</b>

So this is bad when someone embraces Islam? The Shahada is a beautiful thing to hear someone say. We all have a new Brother or Sister, ALHAMDULILAH!

I do not want to argue or try to win a fight. I am not here for this. If that would be the case, my intentions would not be for the sake of Allah. I do not my reward in this life.

As salam alaikum

I live in a university town where many muslim students come to study from their home countries. The changes that they undergo is amazing. They say that they never saw life without Islam and just took it for granted. Yet they come here and see what people without Islam go through and one can see the transformation in their iman. People back home tell them that they have changed.

I am not condoning that people come to nonmuslim countries for this comparison. I guess I am only just sharing an experience.

As salam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu

:subhanallah:

Perhaps my brothers and sisters are unaware of the end of those who are happy to live among the ranks of the kufaar;

<b>When the angels of death cause those people to die who have wronged their souls, they ask: "What was your condition?" They reply: "We were oppressed in the earth." The angels say: "Was not the earth of Allah spacious enough for you to emigrate and go somewhere else?" Hell will be their abode and it is a very evil refuge! 4.97</b>

However, those helpless men, women and children who have neither the means to migrate nor strength to escape, 4.98

Allah may pardon them. Allah is the Pardoning, Forgiving. 4.99

The above verses were revealed after the battle of Badr. Not all the muslims migrated to Madina. Some were happy to remain in the company of the Quraish and some had no way of migrating. As for those who elected of their own free will to remain behind, when "Badr" came, the Makkah-muslims were forced to go out with the Quraish to Badr and out of fear they joined the ranks of the kufaar. And consequently some were either killed by arrows or were killed by the true Madina muslims with the sword although they tried to avoid combat.

The Makkah Muslims were labelled munafiqs by Allah not because they were forced to fight, but because they chose to live with the kufaar willingly!

And the muslims who were happy to live in Makkah after hijirah are now numbered among the people of the left hand.

<b>Hell will be their abode and it is a very evil refuge! 4.97</b>

On the authority of Al-Numan bin Basheer, who said : I heared the messenger of Allah say :

<i>"That which is lawful is plain and that which is unlawful is plain and between the two of them are doubtful matters about which not many people know. Thus he who avoids doubtful matters clears himself in regard to his religion and his honor, but he who falls into doubtful matters falls into that which is unlawful, like the shepherd who pastures around a sanctuary, all but grazing therein. Truly every king has a sanctuary, and truly Allah's sanctuary is His prohibitions. Truly in the body there is a morsel of flesh which, if it be whole, all the body is whole and which, if it be diseased, all of it is diseased. Truly it is the heart."</i>

Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim

On the authority of Abu Saeed Al-Khurdari, who said: I heard the messenger of Allah say:

<i> "Whosoever of you sees an evil action, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so, then with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart; and that is the weakest of faith."</i>
