can you fix a wrong with another wrong? no you cant. if a non-muslim is being insulting, then be better than him and quiet down.

if you dont show respect, how do you expect them to show you respect?

where arent you showing respect? by posting hate messages all over the board. you want to annahilate them abu dujana?

secondly, i dont see anything wrong with someone coming here and preaching christianity. this is a discussion board. a non-muslim comes here, says his point of view. we in turn then reply. you couldnt expect a non-muslim, who already have faith in his/her religion to come here, ask about islam only. learning comes best through discussions. once you prove that they are wrong, then prove that you are right. not vice versa.

Quote:hitler wanted to anahilate the jews. he killed 6 million of them. why dont you finish off what he started? you'll make us all proud for having another hitler within our ranks.
Hitler wasn't in OUR ranks. The jews lived in safety for 1400 yrs under muslim rule.

SubhanAllah. Who is this joker....you muslim ????

Some aspects of Sharee'ah may well have some ethical and moral value. Although I am not religious myself, I recognise that at the base of humans morals and ethics can be derived from religion. The punishments however are an abonimation to mankind and need to be \"abrogated\" to bring it in line with the times we now live in. Why some muslims want to hark back to the savagery of 7th century arabia is beyond me.

http://salam.muslimsonline.com/~islamawe/Q...n/abrogate.html

It is clear that the concept of abrogation: the nullifying of an older commandment or practice in favour of a newer law, is nothing new and it has been practiced by God for aeons. What we know is that the laws governing the mankind (i.e., Shariah) changes according to the needs of the society. But the concept of monotheism (i.e., Tawheed) remains the same. The Creator knows very well that his creation, the humans, need time and discipline to grow and mature, He reveals commandments and practices that help them develop both as individuals and as members of society. All Praise be to the God, Lord of the Worlds.

And Allah knows best!

So much for not responding !!

JohnDoe, as I told u several times, u r supposed to be here to learn about Islam. Obviously u have a problem about the existence of Allah to start with, u refuse to talk about this, continue to tackle subjects in a very immature manner. See u can not join a company as an employee, then complain about its by law (may Allah forgive me I m not trying to exmplify Shariah with a man made by law). See JohnDoe, if u like to continue being so sarcastice under the execuse that u r bringing points, well yes we benefited by posting replies and others reading. But I think u need also to be more respectful and objective.

We have no problem with non muslims guests, we are here to help, not to force any to become Muslim. So calm down nobody is pushing u to become muslim. So stop being defensive and astonished that we Alhamdulelah are very satisfied with our religion.

may Allah frogive us and u sister

well how were we introduced before the Internet to all what the Easternised say about Islam, which made scholars capable of preparing adequate replies? do u see my point or not? We dont judge the hearts of anyone here sister, we just try to satisfy Allah. I think non muslims made their statements which were well publicised, then Muslims scholars replied. There is nothing wrong with our religion to hide. Only when people bring up points for discussion, the truth is revealed. And I really wish u dont judge us here, just in case u r wrong. Astaghfer Allah.

Wa aleikum salam

I'm not judging you sister AstaghfirAllah. All judgement is for Allah subhana wa tala. And as for the kuffar Allah subhana wa tala informs us of them. And may Allah tala guide them.

I posted the saying of Umar radiallah anhu as a reminder, of how the sahaaba viewed things. I have no problem with non muslims discussing our religion and like you said we have nothing to hide.

Who doesn't want to do dawa'a? Wouldn't we all like to have on the day of iqamah a muslim that we encouraged to Islam? SubhanAllah yes Inshallah.

But that doesn't mean that we should tolerate their insults. And as Umar radiaallah anhu said: we judge by the apparent so from those we bad we say he is bad even if he was to swear his intention is good.

Just because someone is a kafir doesn't mean he is coming here with a good intention and if we see bad from him (attacking islam constantly with no valid argument) we assume he is bad and we stop him, even if he was to swear his intention is good. There is a difference between debating and insulting. They really test your patience. And i don't class someone attacking Islam as points for discussion, as you mentioned. Maybe we have to agree to disagree on this one AllahuAlim.

And as you said Alhamduillah we are satisfied with our religion.

Exactly sister umhabibah, they test it, and when u blow up they say exactly what john said to abu, y give them the chance, they r ignorant people we are not, we should show them what we know, and be patient and not lose our temper, and if john is not convinced, well he is the loser, he will rot in fire, but others are benefiting

from our response, may Allah accept from us all, may Allah assist us all to serve him

and serve our relegion.

Wa salam "alaykom wa rahmat Allah.

oh Adolf Hitler wasnt in our ranks, no. But can you tell me that his ideology is any different from Abu Dujanah? He disagreed with the Jews, he kills the Jews. Abu Dujanah disagrees with everyone else, he kills everyone else. Hitler never spared a being, woman, child or handicapped. Abu Dujanah as well claims that its ok to kill them.

this joker is a person who managed to open his mind and accept other people's points of views. this joker wants to give opportunities to everyone no matter what they believe in. I am and always will be a human and i respect my fellow humans who deem respect.

who are you?

Quote:Purgetroy i wont respond to your statement
its not your response to my statment that I care about. it is your response to everyone who disagrees with you.

back to censoring debates. tell me, if a non-muslim comes here with an offensive point of view about Islam. he shares that view point and ends up having his post deleted. then what? the non-muslim would then think that his point is plausible, he would go to other forums where silencing is not as often and spread his view point there. and who knows, maybe in that forum he will go to there arent any muslims. people would then get that view point and spread it more. BUT, if we discuss that view point instead, show him the right from the wrong (no matter if he accepts or is stuborn, we do what we can and the rest is on Allah), then he will know that there is a debate to that topic. if he is stuborn and doesnt accept common sense, he wont open the topic again to avoid long discussions that end up by his failure. if he was open minded, he will accept his faulty thoughts. either way, we would have contributed to helping him and alot of other people. better than silenceing people isnt it?

concider a muslim who wishes to preach islam to christians. in your ideology, this could never happen because a christian who follows your rules of discussion, wont hear a word the muslim has to say. what more christian-blasphomy is there to say to a christian that Jesus is not God and that God doesnt have any sons? same thing applys to Islam. you have to hear them out first then answer. however offending it will be, this is why its called opposing view point. as long as its a view point and it holds discussion then there is nothing wrong with it. ofcourse if it was simply a topic filled with insulting words then thats a different story all together.
