Quote: By all means lets take the good stuff, but please, lets recognise that he did commit some dubious acts and reform them.
How are u john, I did not know it was u habib until i read one thread i dont remember which now, and i was wondering that guy john sounds like habib, so it was u after all.

Anyways let's get to the point, in all your previous threads, and posts, u keep on describing prophet Mohammad(pbuh) being dubious, and u keep saying go read about him, read about his biography, the problem we keep telling u that we read his biography we know everything about his life, and to us he is the most devine human being ever born weather u like it or not, then

if u see anything doubtful about him whay don't u state it logically,

and right to the point so we can answer u and as I told u before we are not scholars we do not know all but we will do what we can to help, and don't worry no one will chop your head off [Image: biggrin.gif] we are not threatning just state exactly what are your doubts about Islam and prophet Mohammad(pbuh) are and we will answer u.

u keep taking bits from here and there and from anti islamic sites,

as if u want to prove to us that Islam is a corrupt relegion, it is not

I assure u, a book 1400 years ago not one word changed it is filled with scientific miracles, many american scientest ebraced Islam, because Quran helped them complete studies they started, how can an illiterate who was raised in a bedwin region know such scientific details, about space, the seas which he never has been to, embroyology and there are much more, but are u convinced - no- why I really don't know. But u know what I respect ur openion, u r free to beleive or not, and i see that u r sincere in wanting to know the truth. I will tell u a story I heard on tv to an egyptian woman scholar who works in usc her name is DR. Nawal Noor, she was on a tv interview, and she said she had an american student(girl) who was so qurrelsome and aggressive and saying bad words about the prophet and Islam, some students were so angry with her, but the scholar was very patient with her and answered all her questions that at the end she embraced Islam and now she is very pious and beleiving. I put this here because she sounded like u, even when the scholar was talking about her I remembered u and I said to myself: well we never know, maybe one day he will see the light and beleive that Islam is the only true relegion and that prophet Mohammad(pbuh) is truly a prophet and messenger.

Here are some scientists declarations, I hope that they will help u.

I trully pray to God to enlighten your heart and show u the right path.

In the name of Allah most gracious

most merciful .

Quote:Please don't take offense with the text or the style I have written because I am being brief rather than offensive
Well it is ok do not worry, I am not

offensed, it is good to see u back in

action  , and welcome back, and

I get offensed only when anything

malicious is said about Allah

or prophet Mohammad or any other

messenger of God.

Quote:The Qu'ran was \"revealed\" to him through directly from Allah. I beg to differ.
Well u still have a long way to look until u discover the truth, none can force it on u [Image: smile.gif]

Quote:Tut, tut, a grave assumption on your part. I visit many sources for the qu'ran including the University of California which had a guest speaker from the Taliban not so long ago. I also use sources like Daniel Pipes and Robert Spencer, Islmaic \"analysts\" but by no means anti Islamic.
Well I remember there was a post before that u mentioned these sources, I did not bring them from my head u know:D, Yes I know that u use the usc as a source u mentioned that as well.

Quote:didn't Islam say that the Earth was flat
Oh john come on, no the Quran did not mention it was flat, it was europe who said that in the old ages, and lots of scientists where killed then, like galilio because he said that the earth was round. (A scholar told us about this a week ago, about galilio).

Quote:That is not my intention. All the same, why should I take your word that it is not corrupt ? I'll put my cards on the table here though, I think religion is a made up thing, by humans, for humans. We can expand on this later.
Oh ok by will of Allah we will, and really

I hope u see the truth, relegion is not a made up thing, or how did we exist, think a bit.

Quote:How do you feel about Nostradamus, who predicted flight, Adolf Hitler and the end of the world, some of his better known predictions. Is he divine ?
He did predict a lot of things I know but it was not out of his cleverness, because it was mentioned in the old original testaments( this will take a long

post to explain, maybe later)[Image: smile.gif]

Quote:Wrongly \"borrowed\" from Greek scientists
First Quran was not borrowed from any1 it is Allah's words(I know u are not convinced of that) secondly we did not deny that our late scientists took a lot from the greek scientists. It was the arabs that translated all this science and added more to it. And u know what

all the sciences in the world since our father Adam up to date is not man made

or from his own geniousity, it is because God created u with a very complicated brain that is more quicker and more precise than any computer in

this world, and Islam induces muslims to study and look up more in God's creation, and it respects other civilisations. Anyways I think we are a bit off topic here we can discuss this in a new thread.

Quote:Islam concerns me more because of Sharia law.
About this, u have to c a scholar a true proffisional scholar. Not every scholar is a scholar may God help us.

I don't know if u saw this before(I put it before in an old topic), I differ

with this man in a couple of issues, but they are nothing serious [Image: smile.gif], but he really did a wonderful job here, read it maybe u will find something here.

Have a nice day, and again nice seeing u back [Image: smile.gif]

In the name of Allah Most Gracious Most Merciful.

Quote:Mohammad, it seems he liked the (young) ladies no?
where did u read this exactly, most of his wives were old women it was only our mother Aisha who was so young when he married her i stated the reason before in a different thread.

http://www.islamsms.com/bb//showthread...hp?threadid=983

I don't know if u read this thread, read it and if still not convinced tell me, i will try to be more clear next time.

Quote:Correct me if I am wrong, excluding slave girls captured in times of war, Mohammad at one point had 14 wives or was married 14 times ?
No u are not wrong, I will not lie to please any1, it is the truth, would u rather have 14 pious clean women or commit adultry with hundreds of prostitutes which only Allah knows what

kind of diseases u will catch from them.

John, God created human beings, and he alone knows how he created them, some men think that one wife is not enough, men mostly are not satesfied with one woman, so should he go and commit adultry to satisfy himself , no y should he while Allah gave him the permission to marry a second wife who is clean and pious and will take care of his honour, but he should take the first wifes' permission, or he should inform her to show her that he respects her and not doing anything behind her back.

But again Allah almighty asked us to be just to our wives not to treat one better than the other, if u love one more than the other is okay, u can't help it u cannot control your heart, but u must be just in spending, treating, and feeding. In the holy Quran it is mentioned in Surat Alnisa'

In the Name of allah Most Gracious Most Merciful :

3. And if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with the orphan_girls, then marry (other) women of your choice, two or three, or four but if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one or (the captives and the slaves) that your right hands possess. That is nearer to prevent you from doing injustice.

So here u see, God knows that humans are not just, so he is ordering only one if u are not able to be just with them.

and in surrat al R'ad

38. And indeed We sent Messengers before you (O Muhammad ), and made for them wives and offspring. And it was not for a Messenger to bring a sign except by Allâh's Leave. (For) each and every matter there is a Decree (from Allâh).

It shows here that not only prophet Mohammad had many wives but other prophets did as well, u will ask and say y is all that, why so many wives?

Here are some I recall :

1- prophets are our ideals, so if we do anything we should follow their example

and if they do anything not from therselves but by order of God.

In the Name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful:

Indeed in the Messenger of Allâh (Muhammad ) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes in (the Meeting with) Allâh and the Last Day and remembers Allâh much.

the Holy Quran, 33:21

2- When u marry more than one wife, u will have lots of children, by that the islamic nation will increase in population

and if raised properly on islamic morals they will serve Allah and the relegion as requsted by Allah Almighty.

3- Being merciful with widows and divorced women who will not find any1 to take care of, and this is exactly how the prophet married his wives, he was allowed to marry 9 wives, and this is only permissable for him, the reason for that as I said he is our Ideal, and each marriage of his was to solve a problem

or to show the right way of dealing with

various marital situations.

Then Allah also confirms that man cannot be just even if he tried:

In the Name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful:
129. You will never be able to do perfect justice between wives even if it is your ardent desire, so do not incline too much to one of them (by giving her more of your time and provision) so as to leave the other hanging (i.e. neither divorced nor married). And if you do justice, and do all that is right and fear Allâh by keeping away from all that is wrong, then Allâh is Ever Oft_Forgiving, Most Merciful

Here Allah Almighty shows that no matter how men try to be just to wives

he will not be able to, but then again he says if u can do that and are pious and have fear of Allah in doing just then Allah will forgive u if u did unjust before.

So it is up to u to marry 1 2 or 3 or 4 but u have to be just, the prophet is different as I told u , he is our example

he married his wives by order of Allah, and then he was ordered not to marry other than them even if he is attached to their beauty :

In the Name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful:

51. You (O Muhammad ) can postpone (the turn of) whom you will of them (your wives), and you may receive whom you will. And whomsoever you desire of those whom you have set aside (her turn temporarily), it is no sin on you (to receive her again), that is better; that they may be comforted and not grieved, and may all be pleased with what you give them. Allâh knows what is in your hearts. And Allâh is Ever All_Knowing, Most Forbearing.

52. It is not lawful for you (to marry other) women after this, nor to change them for other wives even though their beauty attracts you, except those (captives or slaves) whom your right hand possesses. And Allâh is Ever a Watcher over all things.( 33 Surat Alahzab)

Well this is brief, if u wish to know more

I will look it up for you. But when u read this u must know that God created humans and they are all not the same, each is different in his attitude, different in his morals and ideals, men also differ in treating women some are just others are not, some 1 wife will be enough others not, so Islam gives the solution to all this. And who should we follow in his morals, it is prophet Mohammad(pbuh), he taught us high morals, which I am sorry to say that most muslims do not posses or preach,

if they did they again will be that great nation that was 1424 years ago.

One more thing, prophet Mohammad, before Islam was spread, he was offered young beautiful ladies to posses and marry, he was offered wealth and monarchy by Kuffar in order to leave his

da'wa, he did not accept, his Uncle Abu taleb came to him and told him that Quraysh will give him whatever he wants to stop this he said: O uncle if they put the sun in one hand and the moon in the other I will not leave it until I spread it or die for it.

So if he really loved young women as u stated he would have accepted this offer, and left what he was ordered to do, but instead he refused and he bared their disbelief and torture to him and his followers until he succeeded in spreading the message of Allah. I hope I cleared some views for u here, if u still need to know more, do not hesitate to say, I will do my best to help.

May Allah the Most forgiving forgive me if I am wrong.

If I am right it is from God alone, if I am mistaken it is my mistake and ignorance.

Peace

The Prophet no longer married anyone else after the revelation that only four wives were permitted. I know you will say that this is quite convenient. But the nature of the revelation, its style grace, and grammar is such that Arab speaking people agree that at the very least there is nothing like the qur'an before or since. This is one of the signs that it is from Allah. The minute amount of arabic that I have learned gives me glimpses of this miracle. I know you will probably not go out and learn arabic so you will have to accept the uniqueness of the Qur'an in the realm of language as a given. It is used in many nonmuslim arabic classes due to its remarkable majesty.

"As a mans wife gets older, the wife's libido slows down, the mans doesn't, (he's still as horny at 50 as he was at 20) and perhaps wants to satisfy his urges with a more willing partner."

I have actually read research claiming the opposite, not to say there are not some randy old men out there. As a man gets older his testasterone levels drop, which changes the estrogen to testasterone ratio. As a woman gets older and experiences menopause her estrogen levels drop, changing her estrogen to testasterone ratio. This ratio is part of the urges that people feel. The greater the test to estr ratio, the more lustful one feels. The less test to estr, there is less sexual desire. I could be more detailed about the endocrinology but this is more of a side bar than a main point.

A quick frowning occured at the mention of Iran but no metaltisity going on here. (like my new word  )

I used to work for a youth rehabilitation center (kid jail) for fourteen to seventeen year olds. Not one of them was a virgin. I am not looking for a fourteen year old wife or anything close to it. I live in a country where the age of marital consent is eighteen and I abide by that law. My point is that youths are having sex at this young age now. I have no real stance because I never have reflected on this issue. I may have to do that. My question though is what is better youths committing to one another at an early age or having to wait and suffer the consequences of premarital sex? Once again, I have not thought about this but this discussion provoked this question.

Insha'Allah there was something productive in all that?

Astaghfirullah

"I don't know what the consequences are of premarital sex is Dan, can you elaborate ?"

Number one I think would be a child. I fully believe that the best environment for raising children is with both the father and mother.

Second would be greater risks of diseases. Those outside of marriage are more likely to have multiple partners than those who are married. More likely being the key words.

Third is the emotional baggage that one obtains through various intimate and sexual encounters. This is mostly an oberservance of myself and my peers. It is hard to deny that previous relationships affect how one behaves in later ones.

There could be more but these are the ones right off the top of my head.

Of course in my religious beliefs there are much more consequences such as the grave sin and the drifting away from God. These are the consequences that I worry about the most. I mentioned these other things though so that you would hopefully agree with them.
