Majority of women....
#1

As Salaamu ' alaykum

May this Hadeeth, be a stern reminder for the sisters. The Hadeeth, is a long one, and I will type only the part where he, Sallallaahu 'Alayhi wa Salam informed his companions RadiyAllaahu 'Anhum of what he saw :

"....Then I saw the Fire (Hell), and I have never before, seen such a horrible sight as that. And I saw that the majority of it's dwellers were women." The people asked, "O Allaah's Apostle! What is the reason for that?" He replied, "Because of their ungratefulness." The people asked, "Did they disbelieved in Allaah (were they ungrateful to Allaah)?" He replied, "They were not thankful to their husbands and are ungrateful for the favours done to them.Even if you do good to one of them all your life, when she sees some harshness from you, she will say, "I have never seen any good from you."

(Saheeh Al-Bukhaaree Kitaab An-Nikaah Hadeeth No.125)

Can someone explain that Hadeeth a little better? Are women in hell because they got upset at their husbands for being harsh? If a husband is cruel and his wife isn't greatful will she go to hell?

P.S. I hope you all had a wonderful Ramadan!!!

To the best of my knowledge: There are more women in hell than men for the reason that we are very prone to gossip (you can't deny this) and even 'enhance' the gossip. This is slandering the name of another person.

As for being ungrateful to our husbands, we sometimes fall into the trap of expecting more and more from them, and don't take the time to acknowledge the many things they do for us. They come home from work, and maybe we are complaining about how hard our day has been, and ignore that he is also looking for support and comfort.

If you can define what kind of cruel you are speaking of that would be helpful.

Nice to see you again by the way!

I also remember the hadith that speaks of the times to come when women will out number men 50 to 1. You can see the trend of more women to men now. I am not saying that this is THE reason but something to remember. (I would not refute a hadith.) More women in general will also mean more women in hell. Allah Knows Best. Astaghfirullah.

As salam alaikum

Figure 7

This is the best I could do without sitting on the computer all day. Servers were either slow or inadequate, like only giving percentages for a single county. If it is that important, could you look it up and share with us?

I have no problem with being wrong.

No. Islam addresses what Jesus will say on Judgement Day.

as salam a`alaman itabalhoda

Long time no see Michelle, Alhamdulelah we all had a wonderful Ramadan

May Allah allow me the proper expression to present this point.

Let me further explain this hadeeth simply because it is important

The hadeeth is not referring to an abused wife who may practice patient and earn a major reward for taking what she is enduring in her marriage and not complaining just because it is all a test from Allah. But the hadeeth is referring to a normal marriage where the couple is leading a normal life with ups and downs, when the husband is doing his best to maintain the family. And at the slitest mistake, she totally forgets all the nice moments and days, totally denies him all his gentle gestures and just go on complaining to people that she never saw even one good day with him. Now this is exactly what the hadeeth is talking about Michelle. Michelle, according to a hadeeth (Prophet's sayings) we are commanded to take 70 execuses to our bothers and sisters before being upset with them. Certainly the husband is entitled for this. But women fail to comply with this hadeeth, that is why. And actually by the Prophet (SAW) informing us about this, he warned us in order to try and avoid this attitude. If one fails to observe the rule she can only blame herself. Hope I explained the point well enough to benefit all. May Allah accept what is correct which is from Him and overlooks any mistakes and provide u with the correct knowledge.

Sobhan Allah JohnDoe, u r just being totally inobjective. U just can not beleive this is true, u only aim to win an argument. Why dont u try to be more objective in your replies, or u enjoy having your name shown?????????Try to look into replies with a more indepth manner and ponder upon them rather than rushing to reply........[Image: smile.gif]
