well I learned a very good lesson. unfortunatly I learned it the hard way.

I had a very close friend at school, we have been best friends for about 7 years. i have always wanted to please him and always loved him in all my heart. he was like my brother, even closer than my brothers.

this ramadan unfortunatly, things happened and we got mad at each other. i have realised that people change alot through time. i have realised that i was wasting too much time and energy on my friend. and most of all, i have learned (from a person that wanted to remain annonimous) that i should have never loved my friend so much. love should only be through Allah and nothing more. this way, when problems arise and you have to leave a friend or anyone very close to your heart, you wont be heart broken nor will you grieve as much about it.

Alsalam 'alaykom .

Well purgetroy, u must make mistakes in order to learn, it is only normal, one must not be much attached to others even his own family, becasue he will lose them one day, and for sure nothing stays but the love of Allah. Alhamdulilah.

alsalam 'alaykum wa rahmat Allah

Asalam~O~Alykum

This Ramadan al7dmuallah I stopped watching TV. u know (Mosalsalt) in the past I use 2 watch all Arabic series that came on TV during Ramadan. Al7amduallah this year I didn't watch any. I hope it stays that way. Also I got to stay from Salat El 3sha2 until Fajr at the Mosque or in other words ( اعتكاف ). It was sooooooooooooooo great mashallah. It was my first time. Hope that everyone will try it next year.

Salam~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Masriahmuslimah

as salam alykom all

Mash aAllah, nice posts here, and really what I meant was if u gained something that was not your habit before. Insh a Allah may Allah hlep us to maint what we gained.

masriahmuslimah, did u really go to the masjed for e`atekaf wow [Image: smile.gif] Masha Allah. u know what Alhamdulelah that is what I gained this year, every year I forget this issue when it is so simple. I just took the niyah (intention) of e`atikaf when I went for Asr prayer, usually remianed in my position until 15 before maghreb. Did the same thing when I go for taraweeh, except that I did this at home for women to do e`atikaf best at home wallah u a`alem.

U know what Insh aAllah I tried also to maintain this part of worship, which we wrongly think it is only during Ramadan. U can do this any time, just the intention when u go for asr or any other prayer, or even just dedicated 15 minutes on Fri before Maghreb for e`atikaf. Actually the reward in immens. In a hadeeth, the Messneger (SWA) said what means one who sits in seclusion for the time period spend in milking a she camel (indicating even the shortest duration) gains the a reward equal to freeing a slave imagine [Image: smile.gif] cheap alternatives, I love cheap alternatives Allah is sooooooo Generous.
