We only met here and if you try to read my first answer carefully I did not wish any nation to be destroyed but it was true from history mentioned in Quran

Islam is a religion of peace and mercy but you have to take it all or leave it

Do not look to Islam and compare to your knowledge or other religion

If you want to challenge any thing in Islam with a really fair knowledgeable opinion you will never find any where else a similar fair judgment for every party rights

Perhaps your english is not so good but this can be viewed as inflamatory.  

The original poster clearly outlined what to do and I think that is the best course of action in matters such as these. In a free and secular society freedom of speach will offend some people. Boycott their products, write them a letter, whatever.  

There is always outcry over these things, the christian fundamentalists are equaly outraged when their sensibilities are hurt. Too bad I say. Sinead O'conner ripping up a picture of the pope is a classic.

1. Freedom should not be so "free" as to the point where it causes some people pain at the expense of freedom itself

2. I can recall a time when the KKK came to my city to protest, my city has a high Jewish population. They were obviously angred at the KKK for their hatred. They started a riot and people got beat, on both sides as a matter of fact.

3. What does a teacher at school do when her students say inappropreate things? She immediately gives them a warning.

ehm...well...i'm sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but i'm just wondering, are the publishers blind or just stupid? i mean, did they expect that they could print such a picture while muslims tolerate it? i doubt that. we're the last religion that would overlook blunders, trust me, they know.

what i'm getting at is that i realy doubt the publishers would realy care about a petition.

publishers are actualy companies. not some amatuers using the library printer or anything. i do believe that they know about the picture yet placed it anyway. the only one who could probably do something about it is the islamic organisation blah blah that is talking with the publishers about the issue. they might sue the publishers. a petition? what would that do?

It will do nothing, really purgetroy, as u said, nothing, but we shouldn't sleep and do our part, and tell others about it and insha'Allah by our efforts and other pious muslims someone will wake up and sue them.
