Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)
had said:
That who misappropriates the right of a Muslim by taking a false oath, Allah will make the fire of Hell obligatory for him, and Paradise will be forbidden for him. A man said to him: Messenger of Allah, even if it is something insignificant? He replied: Yes, even if it is the twig of the Arak tree.

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had said:
The Muslim is the brother to the Muslim. He should neither deceive him, nor tell a lie on him, nor disgrace or shame him. Everything (of these three things) of a Muslim is (sacred, and thus) inviolable by another Muslim: his honor, blood and property. Piety is here (and he pointed out to his chest thrice). A Muslim can be sure that he has committed a grievous sin, if he degrades his Muslim brother.

2. Having disdain for Muslims is one of the most grievous sins, because the Muslim is honored by Allah.
3. When the good Muslim predecessors adhered to such hadiths, they became a strong nation, most feared by their enemies. They dominated other nations and peoples. Yet in later times, when the Muslims ignored these hadiths, differences arose between them and they even fought among each other.

`Abdullah bin `Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said:
He who does not have mercy upon the young nor respect the old among Muslims does not belong to our group.

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had said:
Look at those who are inferior to you and do not look at those who are superior to you, for this will enable you to appreciate better the favors of Allah. It will keep you away from despising Allah's favor to you.

1. A Muslim should consider the state of those who are inferior to him in worldly gains and should aspire to those who are better than him in religious knowledge and worship.
2. Looking at those given more worldly benefits will lead one to be dissatisfied with Allah’s graces on him. If one looks at those inferior to him in worldly benefits, he will feel the immensity of Allah’s graces on him; and if he looks at those better than him in worship, he will be encouraged to do like them.

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Holy Prophet (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had said:
Give tidings (to the people); do not create (in their minds) aversion (towards religion); show them leniency and do not be hard upon them.

On the authority of Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) who reported that the Messenger of Allah (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was delivering the sermon relating to the Last Pilgrimage on the Day of Sacrifice at Mina. He said:
Verily your blood, your property are as sacred and inviolable as the sanctity of this day of yours, in this month of yours and in this town of yours. Behold! Have I conveyed this message to you?

On the authority of Sufyan bin `Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) who reported: I said: O Messenger of Allah, command me something by which I should hold fast. He (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
Say: My Lord is Allah and then remain steadfast. Then I said: O Messenger of Allah! What do you fear most in my case? He said that he caught hold of his tongue and said this.

The rights will be paid to those whom they are due to on the Resurrection Day, so much so that a hornless goat will be driven to one with horns (will get its claim).

- Allah is Just. He will allow people to retaliate against those who wronged them. Retaliation will be by taking from the good deeds of the wrongdoers to be given to the wronged, or by taking from the misdeeds of the wronged to be laid on the wrongdoers.
- Allah will gather animals to establish justice among them and allow the wronged to retaliate against the transgressors. Then they will all turn into dust.
- One should be quick to correct any injustice he has done to others.

On the authority of Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) who narrated that the Messenger of Allah (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had said:
I stand up to lead the prayer with the intention of prolonging it. Then I hear the cry of an infant and I shorten the prayer fearing lest I should make it burdensome for his mother.

On the authority of Jundub bin `Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) who reported that Allah's Messenger (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had said:
Once a man said: Allah will not forgive such and such person. Thereupon Allah, the Exalted and the Glorious, said: Who is that person who takes an oath in My name that I will not grant pardon to so and so; I have granted pardon to so and so and blotted out your (he who swears) good deeds of all merits.
