Message for my brothers and sisters

As salam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu

Astafighullah, I did not know under what category I should put this post so I hope that you will all forgive me if I have made a mistake.

I also wanted to mostly address my brothers and sisters in Islam.

I am quite new to the board so if I am bringing up a topic that has already been covered then please forgive me.

I have noticed a trend lately on the board. I am in full support of muslims informing nonmuslims about our faith. Yet I have noticed that when we, as muslims, try to do this especially concerning a topic that is started by nonmuslims, the threads seem to get way off the subject. I have noticed brothers and sisters trying to bring it back on course but the very people who started the thread keep it off course.

Allah Most Gracious, Most Merciful, Most High, All-Knowing has told us that nonmuslims will persistantly argue with us over our deen. There are those on the board who seem to legitimately want knowledge about Islam. Then there are others who just seem to want to argue, disagree, and win some kind of arguement.

I just want to point this out so we can find the strength to not fall into the similar trap of arguing to win. If someone persists in this manner, who cares? If they want to feel a certain way no matter what, then why should we be so worried? Yes it is our duty to send out the call to Islam but Allah has told us that there are those whose hearts He Himself has hardened. And no matter how great an ayah we present, they will never beleive.

Our beloved prophet saws had to go through even greater trials to the point that Allah revealed:

"Say Oh you that disbeleive.

I do not worship that which you worship

Nor will you worship that which I worship

And I will not worship that which you are inclined to worship

Nor will you worship that which I worship

To you be your religion and to me mine."

This is not to say that we do not dialogue with others but rather let us keep our focus. We do what we do because of Allah. That is it. It does not matter who else sees the light of Islam as long as we are keeping our intentions pure and striving in Allah's Blessed Name.

If the people who claim they are here to learn, then why do they seem to be the ones posting the most? It is hard for me to hear when I am always talking.

My suggestion is that we as a group try to keep the threads on topic. If someone wants to discuss something else, let them start a thread. Also let us draw reasurrance from Allah when He tells us that He alone decides who tastes the sweetness of our beautiful faith. No matter how much we want people to see, it is not our decision. Rasul-ulllah had to watch his beloved uncle Abu Talib die in a state of disbelief.

I fear Allah alone. I also do not want to offend any of my brothers or sisters. I have just noticed my level of frustration growing and I thought someone else might be experiencing something similar. I came here to gain strength from our unity. Jazakum Allah Khairun for helping me with that. I also appreciate the patience you have shown with me.

I guess I am done rambling.

Mash a Allah, u just made a good point, the non Muslims seem to feel that we are debating or seeking to win an argument. whereas if I just quit posting it is to quit arguing as commanded by our Prophet sws. So Insh a Allah we share the same opinion. I am talking about myself but with knowledge about a number of the rest. I just made a post similar to what u say on one of the threads. So no need to apologize when u seek betterment for all, and u r not being repetitive, and no need to thank us for being patient. Mash a Allah we are all here to gain unity with one another. Yes we must remain focused and, we try to, and yes we must stop posting when it appears that the poster is only seeking to win a debate. at least this is my opinion

Masha Allah your post shows a lot of wisdom, and unfortunately I see myself in some of the things you are saying may Allah forgive my faults and help me to improve. Jazak Allah for posting your thoughts.

Something I really apprieciate about this board is that we come from many different levels of spiritual degree, and for a newer person like me I have learned much from the other members and insha Allah that will continue. May we always help one another.

I know that from our posts that we probably have similar religious backgrounds. I know that I personally was getting too amped over nothing. I did some reflection and discovered that my frustration was not benefitting anyone.

I appreciate both of my sisters posts and alhamdulillah Allah allowed me to express myself clearly.

Alsalam Alaykom, brother Dan thankyou for your post it is really very true, I read this post today only( a bit late) but yes what you are saying is 100% correct, those who do not want to c the light God will abandon them and leave them to struggle in the darkness, as he had made a a covering on their hearts because of their sins, he mentions in Surrat Al-Mutafefifin :

In the Name of Allah the Most Gracious The Most Merciful.


11. Those who deny the Day of Recompense.

12. And none can deny it except every transgressor beyond bounds, (in disbelief, oppression and disobedience of Allâh, the sinner!)

13. When Our Verses (of the Qur'ân) are recited to him he says: "Tales of the ancients!"

14. Nay! But on their hearts is the Rân (covering of sins and evil deeds) which they used to earn.

15. Nay! Surely, they (evil-doers) will be veiled from seeing their Lord that Day.

16. Then, verily they will indeed enter and taste the burning flame of Hell.

17. Then, it will be said to them: "This is what you used to deny!"

So there is a RAN coated on their hearts that will prevent them to c the truth. for the past few days I have been

thinking exactly what u have written, I read many argumental posts, and was about to answer, then I said: oh no need, such persons will only turn to say bad words about Allah and prophet Mohammad(pbuh), which will make us sinful of that. I am new here also and I lack experience in forums and in da'wa, I have been on the internet for long, but never joined forums before:rolleyes: , so I hope I can learn more from you, Sister Muslimah and all other members.

I must apologize for not following my own advice at times. It seems that I am still somewhat of an idealist. I see a little spark of light in some posts of people who I have given up on but then the conversation turns back towards the argumentative. I guess I figure that if I became muslim then anyone can become one. It is not up to me though. Alhamdulillah!

Yes I know how u feel, but what can we do we cannot make everybody muslims, only those chosen by God Allmighty are to c the light, I am the same i wish that they will be convinced quickly, but then I remember prophet Mohammad(PBUH) and how much he suffered to spread Islam, then I say well what are u suffering nothing , u r a lazy Muslim, so we should learn more and read more and work harder with no rest, but that feeling of yours is very sincere you won't find this sincerety in original born muslims,so I pray that may Allah accept your deeds and Insha' Allah u will be in Fardaws Il A'la, Ameeeen
