What if you cannot fast?

That sounds very reasonable. Obviously Islam keeps the burden light.

i read once a hadits, where Rasulu-lLah SAW was asked what one should do because he slept with his wife during ramadlan in the day, he said you should fast 2 months, the man said how could i, just now i break the ramadlan, well you free a slave, the man answered: i can't, Rasulu-lLah SAW then said you should feed 60 (sixty) poor persons, the man answered, well, i'm the poorest in the city. do you know what Rasulu-lLah SAW did ?

he laughed and asked someone to give him a basket of dates to give the man and said go home and eat it with your family !

this is islam ! which brought by Muhammad SAW !
