Bismillah: Assalamo Alikum.
Why are we referring to this incident as '<b>Muslims</b> killing each other'? Why every stupid act performed by an Arab is associated with his religion? The Algerian News Paper called '<i>Shorooq</i>' (probably a Christian newspaper) has exceeded all limits by insulting Allah's words of the Qur'an / Chapter 12 and yet we are referring to them as Muslims? what is wrong with us? The Egyptians are feeling so bad because their flag was burned, but no one cares when the Qur'an was mocked?
<i>BTW not only Algerian and Egyptian Muslims were supporting their team in Sudan, Christians were there too</i>

Jazakum Allah khairan Wael for your input, you actually indicated the point I was trying to disucss.
I will paraphrase it, the two parties are of a Muslim majority, as you said people rose up for flags and clashing with each other severly, needless to mention that not only Arabs create drama over football, other races do too, i.e Brits, Americans..etc. I remember we had a football thread here. Anyway, Muslims around the world are not rising to demonstrate disgreement to such acts or even attempt to reconcile. The only situation this happened was when Iraq envaded Kuwait, and that was on the governmental level. This is what I m trying to discuss ya Wael. And it happens ya Wael, Muslims do kill Muslims.

And then when non Muslims come and inquire why we Muslims do not stand and shout for inter Muslim killing as we do in response to non Muslim aggression, we feel bad. Assalamou alaykoum,to proceed:first of all,try not to exaggerate to describe the unimportant and frivolous event as if it was a conflict between 2 groups of Sahaba(ra)(maarakate jamal),a conflict between 2 true believer groups,or between 2 genuine Muslim countries who are implementing full Sharia law?!!As an Algerian muslim,i don't give a toss if these 2 despotic governments Algeria and Egypte kill each others,however i won't tolerate from the Egytian's side to insult the Algerian Muslim people and also those of fought the French occupation and died for whatever the doctrine they believe,etc...Besides,who told you that these 2 governements are Muslims?!!You are still far away from reality and true understanding of Islam as a whole.Quote one country who is implementing Sharia,in fact all the so-called Muslim countries are cooperating with the enemies of Islam against the true Believers.I am referring to the despotic governements and not the people from both sides,the Egyptian governement(traitor and close ally to the Israeli and USA) won't dare to use any aggression against the Algerian Muslims for the sake of a Jahiliya game of Football,as Moubarake should well know who he is dealing with,etc...I 'd better not to go further on this issue,but let's focus on the Muslims in Chechnya,etc....

I am French Algerian,i mean French Blood and Algerian,and i can tell you the Arabs are better than you in anyway,in fact you need to learn everything from them,and i am talking about the true Arab Believers.You need also to research about the Arab Muslims'civilisation in the past and how they conveyed Islam and knowledge to the other nations,and how they beautifully built Mosques, palaces,universities,let alone Muslim scholars in the field of Mathematics,astronomy,Algebra,medecine, etc.....Arabs are the most courageous people(Muslims) and also generous and warmth.....The most backward is yourself and lack of knowledge and appreciation of the Arabs...By the way, the beloved prophet mohamad alayhi asalate wa salam was a pure Arab as well as his companions(sahaba),so grow up for a change

I do not see, in my own humble, this is the manner to handle a situation when others speak in a way that you do not like. In fact, you are just fueling more racism. I am aware that sister Jennifer's comment was racist oriented, which she tried to explain what she actually meant later on, not sure if you observed this. But I think we need to be more understanding of each other USMA, more tolerant to each other, before we request Non Muslims to be understanding of us or tolerant with us even when others are harsh.
Insh a Allah, all is well, we are all brothers and sisters.

i agree with sister Muslimah....
USMA ,i dont know wether u r a brother or a sister....but i do not agree with this that u need to learn everything from arabs even if u meant true Arab believers and the companions of our beloved Prophet Muhammad(SAW) were not all arabs......u dont remember Hazrat Salman Al-Farsi(RZ) he was a persian and Our Prophet (SAW) loved him alot....so my opinion is that its not only true arab believers who can actually teach us but its abt all the true believers present in every race who can teach us.....because true believers are one and alike for Allah whether they r arabs or ajams and the reward in the end is same for both....so my question is if Allah and Our Prophet Muhammad(SAW) treat all the true believers alike even if they r arabs or ajams then why we can't.........because we r suppose to be obeying them ...right........the problem with today's muslims is one is trying to be greater than the other .....................in today's modern world all the countries are trying to be wealthier than the others including all the muslim countries too.............if u guys remember our Prophet Muhammad(SAW)is reported to have said that all the muslims in the world(arabs or ajams)are as one body ,if one part gets hurt we should feel pain in the whole body..is'nt it...in reality too if one part of our body gets hurt ,suppose our finger gets hurt do we feel pain.....yes of course we do feel pain........... if all the muslims are one body than why we dont feel pain on what is happening in Palestine,in Iraq,in Afghanistan , in Pakistan and many others....they are the parts of our body..arent they.....and now Algeria and Egypt too...they both are muslim countries...not only they but many groups in Pakistan too such as sunni and shia,shafai or humbly,hanfi or thaqafi......all are fighting and killing each other even though they all are muslims....so muslims are making themselves weak by fighting wars in between them.....they should be joining together now but they are killing themselves even though they believe that suiciding in Islam is haraam so if what they are doing now is not suiciding than what it is.........i m sure but not only me everyone know that today also if muslims join together against all the powers of the world they would be so strong that no power in the world would be able to break them.....is'nt it.....IA muslims will join one day

Brother USMA, maybe you can read and reflect on the last sermon of the Prophet (saw). Nobody is denying the Arabs of old were great. Where are they today? What happened? This is my point. Maybe you dont like my delivery but yours is better? Maybe we should get out the knives and have a riot just like these idiot soccer fans? Would that make you happy?
After all, what is the root of all this nonsense to begin with? Isn't it pride?
Nothing will change until we as individuals, as nations, as an Ummah, rid our hearts of it.

Assalamou alaykoum.to proceed:Sister Jennifer,i will give you a straight answer of whereabouts of the true Arabs,ans i do really mean it as i will never try to pretend to be someone else who is trying to please the others,my aim is only to please the Ominpotent Allah taala and nothing else and i don't need to be arrogant or swimming in the pride as any believer who got an iota of pride will not enter paradise(we ask the Almighty Allah to purify our heart of pride and hypocrisy).So,you will find the true Arabs fighting in Afghanistan,Irak,Chechnya,Pakistan,Kashmir,etc....and you only need to ask the native people....Regarding violence in a soccer game/football,to be frank i don't care who is the loser or the winner,as my only concern is brothers and sisters who are incarcerated in the Dictator's jails (apostates) and the unbelievers Nassara and Jews.And to make things very clear and unequivocal,the problem and the calamities the ummah are facing is because they have walked away from Jihad fi sabililah,they have surrendered to the love of this temporary life(dounya faniya),and i urge the sincere mothers to teach their kids the love of Jihad,to teach them about the biography of the beloved prophete the leader of the mujahideen Abal Kassam sala lahou alayhi wa salam,the love of the Sahabas on how they strove to convey Islam and fought for Islam with their wealth and body(soul)..What pride are talking about,and we are being humiliated and slaughtered every single day by the unbelievers and apostate Governments.Wake up,and live with reality,enough nice speeches,enough conferences,enough summits,enough demonstrations,enough is enough....Assalamou alaykoum
