how many wife can you have in Islam?

:lailahaillallah: Salaam brothers and sisters i would like to know how many wife's are you allowed to married in Islam and what are the conditions in Islam


can you please refer to what section in the Quran and which hadith are you referring to.

welcome to our board, here is the Ayah responding to your question:


"And if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with the orphan girls, then marry (other) women of your choice, two or three, or four but if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one or (the captives and the slaves) that your right hands possess. That is nearer to prevent you from doing injustice."" (Quran 4:3)


However, for further and in depth explanation, use this site searching and using the key work = polygny you will come up with many threads.
