as salam alykom brother

How have u been? Insh aAllah well

Now to answer this question:

Esha salat is only 4 Raka`a = Fard.

If u pray only this, it is acceptable Insh aAllah.

As for the sunnah, I have no idea it has a sunnah Qabliya = before the Esha. I also searched to confirm, nothing about a pre sunnah.

As for sunnah ba`dya = after it goes like this:

2 Raka` sunnah.

2 Raka`a Shafaa

1 Raka` watr.

The shafa` and watr are confirmed sunnah. Insh aAllah will get u the hadeeth.

The Shafaa and Watr might be performed three together or two and do tasleem, then one and do tasleem.

And Allahu A`lam.

Muslimah i think you need to ask the brother first which imam he follows , or whether or not he follows an imam, before you tell him how to perform his sunnats and wajibs for isha,

To answer waheeds questions.

"when you perform Isha salat can you avoid praying First Four Rakat Sunnat Ghair Mokadda and three rakat wajib.

When you say can u "avoid" praying first 4 sunnat ghair mokadda. well basically no, if its out of laziness then no, if ur at work and restricted with time then u r allowed to miss it.

You should think of ur sunnats and nafl as valuable , for example take your iman as being like a castle, the king will build a wall around it to protect it , he will then build another wall around that as well , then another wall. when u only pray your fard salat it is like just having one wall around ur iman protecting u from satan , but if u pray ur sunnats , nafl , do zikr , etc then u r building more walls around ur iman to protect urself from satan.

As to ur question about the "3" wajib salats after ur fard prayer , it again depends which imam u follow, as for me i follow imam Abu hanifa, and so i pray 3 rakats , if u want to know how to pray 3 wajibs after isha for those that follow imam abu hanifa then u can pm me.

First of all allow me to say Salaam to both of you Sister Muslimah and Brother Suhail786

Sister Muslimah i am in good health with the grace of Allah.

Brother Suhail i don't follow any iman of such i am more a less a bit of hanfi and shaif , I intend to mix and match this.

for example I would pray my sunnat the hanfi way but during my pray i might rise my hands before rakoo like the shaif do. And my Allah accept each pray that i make amen.

Okay so to clarify this you would pray Esha as follows

4 raka sunnat

4 raka Fard

3 raka wajab

am i correct

while we are discussing how to preform Salaat my i also clarify when traveling away from home can you combine Friday pray with Asar pray ? or do you have to read Zora and Asar together?

many thanks for providing me with the information that i required.

I have to be a bit blunt here now since u r following a bit of shafi and a bit of hanafi , the way i see it ur not following either one of them ur following ur nafs, so to tell u the truth if u start mixing and matching no one can really help you. The hanafi and Shafi school of thought have different jurispudence with regard to how and when ur wudhu breaks , how to pray salat etc , they way i see it ur wanting a tailor made way which incorporates shafi and hanafi, which is impossible and incorrect, so stick to what ever imam u used to follow before u went on the internet and got confused and go to ur local mosque and follow them even if u think they r wrong.

I think you for once you are wright thank Allah that i never in reality mix and match , i needed to know which way is correct and of course this depends on which iman you follow , As the internet is full of information you can get very easyly mislead , Brother I am more on what you pray I follow what is know as Tablik jamat which i beleive is hanfi.
