The Instruction

Quote:Bismillah

That makes the two of us Dan. I m not sure how can he twist the Ayahs, or does he really believe that he is living in Paradise.

Witness, do you still take drugs? I m serious, or when you read those Ayahs of Quran, do u read them while u r sober or not?

The Quaran is the Book that makes things clear.

004.043

O you who believe! do not go near prayer when you are Intoxicated
until you know (well) what you say
, nor when you are under an obligation to perform a bath-- unless (you are) travelling on the road-- until you have washed yourselves; and if you are sick, or on a journey, or one of you come from the privy or you have touched the women, and you cannot find water, betake yourselves to pure earth, then wipe your faces and your hands; surely Allah is Pardoning, Forgiving.

Knowing Allah is the Bliss of Paradise. Which one of His favors will you deny?

They ask thee concerning wine and gambling. Say: "In them is great sin, and some profit, for men; but the sin is greater than the profit." They ask thee how much they are to spend; Say: "What is beyond your needs." Thus doth Allah Make clear to you His Signs: In order that ye may consider (2:219).

O ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination,- of Satan's handwork: eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper.

Satan's plan is (but) to excite enmity and hatred between you, with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah, and from prayer: will ye not then abstain? (5:90-91)

Now this is important to grasp. It is Satan's plan to cause conflict and hatred between us but it Is the Plan of Allah for us to be Compassionate, Merciful, full of prayer and rememberence of Him. <b>It is this enmity and hatred we must abstain from.</b>

For if we should abstain from intoxicants and gambling and still have enmity and hatred between us then we have misunderstood. There is wine in paradise but in paradise you will not find enmity and hatred. Emnity and Hatred are the filthy works of Satan.

But if these intoxicants and gambling cause you to forget Allah and embrace evil then it would be better to abstain. In-fact it would be better to abstain from doing anything that conflicts with the rememberence of Allah.

Take what is profitable and leave the sin.

doesnt the Prophet pbuh say <b>"Anything which intoxicates in a large quantity is prohibited even in a small quantity"</b> .

didnt he say "<b>Alcohol is the mother of all evils and it is the most shameful of evils".</b>

then why should we argue about this matter???

it was reported by Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), a companion of the Prophet, that Muhammad (Pbuh) said:

God’s curse falls on a group of people who deal with alcohol. The one who distils it, the one for whom it has been distilled, the one who drinks it, the one who transports it, the one to whom it has been brought, the one who serves it, the one who sells it, the one who utilizes money from it, the one who buys it and the one who buys it for someone else

I will pose a question to you. Why do you think alcohol would be prohibited? Do you think it is because Alcohol itself is evil or do you think it is the effect that it has on some people that is evil.

Also, Will there not be wine in paradise for those who drink it. Would Allah give us something bad in paradise or is evil good in paradise?

May Allah bless you.

Because it is harmful to human being, and can easily affect the mental health of the people and over all because Allah Himself prohibited it.

Allah has prepared for His believing servants in Paradise that which <b>no eye has seen, no ear has heard and that has never even crossed the minds of men</b>, so the wine of paradise can never be compared with the wine of this world it will be something differnet.

So you do admit there will be wine drinking in heaven, correct?

That is true indeed and yet it says in the Quaran: "rivers of wine, for those who drink " This is indeed saying to those who drink that there will be rivers of wine. Of course the quality will be the best, but so will the quality of thhe water water and the milk.

May Allah bless you.

Do some research and you will see that it is a fact that alcohol kills brain cells. Why would you want to do this to yourself? I must also wonder why you are so ademant about having alcohol be permissible?

You have been shown ayaat and ahadith that show it is haram. This is an issue in Islam in which there is no ambiguity. You will not ever be able to convince practicing muslims that drinking alcohol is okay. Arguing for it only discredits you even more and makes you look foolish... more so.

This is the most current research:

------------------------------------------------------

10/25/2006 - Drinking moderately may improve your health according to recent studies, but the key is moderation and a healthy lifestyle.

A study published in October's Archives of Internal Medicine found that healthy men who drank 15 to 29gm of alcohol per day had the lowest risk for heart attacks and those who did not drink at all had the highest. Another group of researchers presented papers on the health benefits of beer at a University of Maryland conference.

There is a unanimous hesitancy among researchers to recommend drinking to avoid certain diseases because of the fine line between moderation and binge drinking.

------------------------------------------------------

Quote:This is an issue in Islam in which there is no ambiguity

The Quaran states: do not go to prayer while you are intoxicated but wait until you are clear minded. This statement is certainly not condemning drinking it is saying don't get drunk or enter prayer without being mindful.

Anyway, if you do not have self control and discipline do not drink. If you have a bad temper or are moody, do not drink. If you have a hard time being good to your family and friends even now, do not drink.

Drinking is really for those whom alcohol does not lead astray that is why it will be in paradise where we can no longer be led astray.

May Allah bless you.

You keep coming back to this ayat as proof for your claim. Do you know when this ayat was revealed? Do you know when the other ayaat were revealed as well as the ahadith?

the ayat you quote was one of the first revealed to take a society in which druken wine orgies were a daily practice. It is through the wisdom of the Qur'an that these people were weaned from this practice as other ayaats and the actions of Muhammad dictated. Can you ever show me where the Prophet saws drank alcohol? Now honestly, do you think muslims are going to pattern their lives after The Messenger or you?

The "evidence" has been yet to show whether the benefits come from the actual alcohol or the fruits and grains from which it is fermented. Because if it is the alcohol then the best thing to do would be to drink pure alcohol, which some may know burns everything (throat and stomach) as it is ingested.

"The Holy Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alayhi wa Sallam) said "Whoever interprets the Qur'an according to his own opinion(ra'yah), let him seek his abode in the hell fire."
