As salam alykom brothers and sisters,

I was motivated to start this thread in an effort to pay the due right of our beloved Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam but in a practical manner.

Sobhan Allah, just thinking about it, I found that shaytan started throwing stones in my way to serve as obstacles and pull me back. But Alhamdulelah here I m fighting in the name of Allah to fulfill my duty as a muslim and introduce benefits of following the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam. Aoudhbillah mina shaytan arrajeem.

May Allah Accept, Assist me much to continue this as much as possible. However, I do encourage brothers and sisters to share this thread and fill in as much as possible. It will serve both ways a reminder for us, learning more, and correct presentation of our Prophet.

"Say: "If you love Allah then <b>follow me, </b>

Allah will (then) love you

and forgive you of your sins. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Quran 3: 31)

1. Follow the Messenger, of course only if u love Allah = Allah Shall love you, and because Allah Is Gracious, not only that He will love you but also forgive your sins.

"And <b>obey Allah and the Messenger </b>
(Muhammad) that you may <b>obtain mercy</b>." (Quran 3:132)

2. obey Allah and the Messenger= You obtain mercy.

Insh a Allah I gave the kick off, may Allah Assist us all to contribute as much as possible.

<b>"He who obeys the Messenger </b> (Muhammad),
<b>has indeed obeyed Allah,</b> but he who turns away, then we have not sent you (O Muhammad) as a watcher over them. " (Quran 4:80)

3. Obey the Messenger= Thus you obeyed Allah.

"<b>Those who follow the Messenger (Muhammad), the unlettered Prophet </b> whom they find written in the Torah and the Gospel with them, he enjoins upon them that which is virtuous and forbids them that which is evil; he allows them all that is good and forbids for them all that is foul. And he releases them from their burdens and from the shackles that were upon them. So it is those who believe in him, honour him, assist him and follow the light which has been sent down with him, <b>it is they who will be successful</b>." (Quran 7: 157)

4. Follow the Messenger prayer and peace be upon him= will be successful.

<b>And know that among you is Allah's Messenger: were he, in many matters, to follow your (wishes), ye would certainly fall into misfortune: </b> but Allah has endeared the Faith to you, and has made it beautiful in your hearts, and He has made hateful to you unbelief, wickedness, and rebellion: such indeed are those who walk in righteousness; Qur'an 49:7)

<b>5- follow the Prophet Muhammad pbuh = not falling into troubles.</b>

*************

O ye who believe! <b>give your response to Allah and His Messenger, when He calleth you to that which will give you life;</b> and know that Allah cometh in between a man and his heart, and that it is He to Whom ye shall (all) be gathered. Qur'an 8:24

<b>6- follow the Prophet Muhammad pbuh = give you life</b>

At the 2nd pledge of Al-Aqabah when the muslims of Medina met with Rasool (saw) to pledge their support to him.

They (muslims of Medina) said that they would accept the Messenger of Allah (saw) on these conditions and then inquired, <b>"What is in it for us, O Messenger of Allah, in return for our loyalty?" Allah’s Messenger (saw) replied confidently, "Jannah." </b> They stretched their hands forth, and he (saw) stretched his hand and they pledged their word...

What more benefit can one ask for from following the footsteps of Rasool (saw)

Sobhanallah! May Allah SWT make us like those of Medina.

Aameen!

As salam alykom

"And whoso obeys Allah and the Messenger (Muhammad), then they <b>will be in the company of those on whom Allah has bestowed His Grace, of the Prophets, the Siddiqun </b> (those followers of the Prophets who were first and foremost to believe in them, like Abu Bakr as-Siddiq), the martyrs, and the righteous. And how excellent these companions are!" (Quran 4:69)

7. Follow Allah and the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam= acquire the company of Prophets and siddiqun.

"The only saying of the faithful believers, when they are called to Allah (His Words, the Qur'an) and His Messenger, to judge between them, is that they say: "<b>We hear and we obey."</b> And such are the <b>prosperous ones </b> (who will live forever in Paradise)." (Quran 24:51)

8. Hear and obey when the Messenger salla Allah a`ylhee wa sallam calls you to Quran and to judge between you = Attain the status of the prosperous (although this word in Arabic means much more than being prosperous, it includes the sense of success as well).

"And whosoever <b>obeys Allah and His Messenger, fears Allah</b>, and keeps his duty (to Him), such are the <b>successful ones." </b> (Quran 24:52)

9. Obey Allah and the Messenger = Be of the successful ones (although I d better use the winners).

"Say: <b>"Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger</b>: but if ye turn away, he is only responsible for the duty placed on him and ye for that placed on you. <b>If ye obey him, ye shall be on right guidance</b>. The Messenger's duty is only to preach the clear (Message). (Qur'an 24: 54).

10- Obey the messenger pbuh = you will be on right guidance.

" Those are limits set by Allah: <b>those who obey Allah and His Messenger will be admitted to Gardens with rivers flowing beneath, to abide therein (for ever) and that will be the supreme achievement"</b>. (Qur'an 4:13)

11- Obey Allah and His messenger = you will be admitted to Gardens with rivers flowing beneath, will abide there forever, and that will be the supreme achievment.

May Allah reward you sister Muslimah for coming up with this excellent idea. masha'Allah very good thread.

Alhamdulelah who has Guided us for this and if it wasnt for Him we wouldnt have been guided.

To continue reviewing the major benefit that befells those who follow the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam, the benefit is abundant.

Verily, <b>those who give Bai'a (pledge) to you (O Muhammad)</b> they are giving Bai'a (pledge) to Allah. The Hand of Allah is over their hands.
Then whosoever breaks his pledge, breaks only to his own harm, and whosoever fulfills what he has covenanted with Allah, He will bestow on him a great reward. (Quran 48:10)

12. Giving pledge to the Messenger prayer and peace be upon him is not restricted only on those who accompanied him during his life. But to believe in Allah, Islam as brought by Mohamed prayer and peace be upon him, applying what he gave us= IS giving pledge to Allah.

Just look at the fruit of giving pledge to Allah in the succeeding Ayah, the Hand of Allah Shall be over their hands. Can you imagine being blessed with having the Hand of Allah (which of course is not like our hands), to be over our hand? This means, having the support you need, the strenght you need, the guidance you need, the directing you need, the power you need, the light you need. You will have all what any human being needs to lead a proper steady life. Just by giving pledge to the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam.
