Asanas
#31

Quote:The Yogic physical exercises are called Asanas, a term which means steady pose.

ASANAS

"Suhail, jazakum Allah khairan for asking the questions I want to ask on this thread. U r sparing me typing. smile.gif"

p.s Muslimah i have good seniour teachers on our board who have taught me through time not to be

aggressive and abusive to the likes of such people like "witness" and rather make them embarass themselves with intelligent debates

Asana in sanskrit means seat or posture or in the way you used it "steady pose" The posture is a persons gracefulness in movement. Asana is one made gracious by God Asanas are the ones made gracious by God. It is good that you are not abusive because by not being abusive you will not make the mistake of talking abusive about Allah on accident and that is wriiten in the Quaran. If you are attacking what I say and insisting it did not come from Allah, then know that you are doing no different than those who rejected Mohammad and called him a liar.

I will not embarass myself nor will I seek to embarass you, nor should you seek to embarass me as if I have tried to embarass you. This is about the will of Allah and all praise is due to Him.

This is a good springboard for us to dialogue.

Now Dan posted already that Ayahs clearly explaining that Allah Shall not amend any legistlations contained in the last revelation to mankind.

U r saying, no Allah revealed different codes to me and we must come to u and listen.

i dont want to dispute what u r saying, neither am I compelled to bring proof to you. BUt rather u r requested to bring proof from Quran, since u made a clear point that for one to get into Asanas, must go thru the stage of Islam and Quran. Well, get me an Ayah foretelling us that after the complete revelation made to mankind thru Mohamed prayer and peace be upon him, other revelations will come to fill gaps, or amend or compliment or whatever u want to call it.

Waiting for the ayah anxiously.

From what source will you attack me?

All the true believers seek the Joy of bliss in God Almighty, they seek equanimity with each other out of fear of displeasing The One and Only Real God. Remember this: Everything that you do there is a clear record of it being kept in a book. Pray that you fill it with the best of good deeds. Pray that on the day of resurrection the Holy angel that will hand you the book of your deeds will say, “peace be upon you”.

Waiting for the ayah anxiously.

These are three different translations of the verses

002.106

YUSUFALI: None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, <b>but We substitute something better or similar</b>: Knowest thou not that Allah Hath power over all things?

PICKTHAL: Nothing of our revelation (even a single verse) do we abrogate or cause be forgotten, <b>but we bring (in place) one better or the like thereof</b>. Knowest thou not that Allah is Able to do all things?

SHAKIR: Whatever communications We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, <b>We bring one better than it or like it</b>. Do you not know that Allah has power over all things?

016.084

YUSUFALI: <b>One Day We shall raise from all Peoples a Witness</b>: then will no excuse be accepted from Unbelievers, nor will they receive any favours.

PICKTHAL: <b>And (bethink you of) the day when we raise up of every nation a witness</b>, then there is no leave for disbelievers, nor are they allowed to make amends.

SHAKIR: <b>And on the day when We will raise up a witness out of every nation</b>, then shall no permission be given to those who disbelieve, nor shall they be made to solicit favor.

In 016.084 it clearly says <b>One day</b> now, this is speaking in the future sense. Who is that Witness it could not be Mohammad himself as the prophecy was given to the Prophet about The Witness and I am that Witness.

016.089

YUSUFALI: <b>One day We shall raise from all Peoples a witness against them</b>, from amongst themselves: and We shall bring thee as a witness against these (thy people): and We have sent down to thee the Book explaining all things, a Guide, a Mercy, and Glad Tidings to Muslims.

PICKTHAL: <b>And (bethink you of) the day when We raise in every nation a witness against them of their own folk</b>, and We bring thee (Muhammad) as a witness against these. And We reveal the Scripture unto thee as an exposition of all things, and a guidance and a mercy and good tidings for those who have surrendered (to Allah).

SHAKIR: <b>And on the day when We will raise up in every people a witness against them from among themselves</b>, and bring you as a witness against these-- and We have revealed the Book to you explaining clearly everything, and a guidance and mercy and good news for those who submit.

You see how Allah has prepared this for you in advance, Glorious is this Quaran. Blessed be Allah forever and peace be upon The Prophet who was true and faithful.

I work in a psychiatric hospital so I have some experience with these revelations coming to people.

Usually people who want to feel special or have been abused in their lives have these "revelations." They talk with God or He talks to them. I have been told several times already that if I did not heed these people's warnings that I would be "damned." They are just as convinced of thier messages as you are. Question then is... Are all these people messengers (doubt it bc messages conflict)? Or... Are all these people in need of psychiatric care?

just to fulfill a duty, witness, you are totally confused regarding the interpretation of this verse. Are u basing your so called revelation on this?

well, for u and other readers who may come here and read this, pls refer back to this topic:

It has more explanation of this issue in particular.

in brief, the Ayah never means that others will receive revelation that changes what Allah already Made established.

You asked me to show you verses that support my claim and these are valid verses and you are not even understanding why that verse was put in there. That verse has to do with both the writing in previous Holy Books and the support of anything in the future. Otherwise the Quaran would say everything here is unchangeable and it does not say that.

Muslimah,

Is it right that you invite me to dialogue with you and then you disrespectfully discuss banning me with others, is it because you cannot find me in the wrong? Is it because you feel in some way I am attacking something dear to you ? because I am not attacking anything dear to you, I am only doing what Allah has commanded of me. If you think I am wrong, then that is okay so do the Christians and they get upset when I say "I worship the God of Jesus" and then I ask them "If Jesus has a God how can he be God" They get upset because they think I am attcking Jesus(pbuh) But I am not attacking Jesus by saying he is The Christ and not The God. But they say I am attacking them and I am saying to them it is disrespectful to take Christ(pbuh) as a God with God.

Now do you think I am being wrong with them?

You still did not address the other two verses, here is one of them, may Allah be a witness between me and you.

Look at this hadeeth:

Narrated Abdullah bin Mas'ud:

The Prophet said to me, "Recite (the Quran) to me." I said, "O Allah's Apostle Shall I recite (the Qur'an) to you while it has been revealed to you?" He said, "Yes." So I recited Surat-An-Nisa' (The Women), but when I recited the Verse:

<b>'How (will it be) then when We bring from each nation a witness </b> and We bring you (O Muhammad) as a witness against these people.' (4.41) He said, "Enough for the present," I looked at him and behold! His eyes were overflowing with tears

Volume 6, Book 60, Number 8:

Narrated Ibn Abbas:

Umar said, "Our best Qur'an reciter is Ubai and our best judge is 'Ali; and in spite of this, we leave some of the statements of Ubai because Ubai says, 'I do not leave anything that I have heard from Allah's Apostle while Allah:

"Whatever verse (Revelations) do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten but We bring a better one or similar to it." (2.106)

What?

You don't make sense. You are taking verses out of context to prove your self worth. You are not the first to do it. Many have come before you trying the same. How are you right and they are wrong?

Guess what? You are all wrong because the Seal of the Prophets said liars like you would arise.
