Greetings. Or in Texas we say, "Howdy".
I am wanting to read the Koran. I need helping figuring out if there is a specific version or translation which is more accurate when translated into English. With the Holy Bible, there are several different interpretations...some are more accurate than others when translating the original text. Are there specific publishers or versions which I should seek?
Thanks in advance.

Curious, u got a few suggestions here, being Alhamdulelah a native Arabic speaker, i d recommend the link provided by Suhail. I checked it out. i do have an idea about Pickthal, with all due respect and may Allah Reward him, but try the link provided by Suhail.
See the task of translating the meanings of Quran is a hard one and Insh a Allah highly rewarded. But sometimes, they do fail to bring in the correct meaning.
Insh aAllah may Allah Assist you in your journey. We all here would be more than happy to help at any tim.
There are a few members here who are native Arabic speaker, I also believe that Suhail although not a native speaker, but Mash a Allah have quite a good knowledge of Quran.
So go ahead and start...
