Assalamualaikum
I am looking for muslim male and female volunteers in the uk between the ages of 18 and 25 to help run an anonymous islamic advice hotline - the advice will range from exams , college life , drugs , realationships , sex , western life , islamic issues and other relevent advice in compliance with shariah
To qualify in assisting in giving advice to young muslims you need :
1. A reliable PC
2. Broadband connection atleast 512k and above
3. A microphone or internet phone
4. Minimum of 10 hours a week to answer phone calls from home (schedule will be arranged)
5. You will not be paid
A skype account will be created with a landline number and relevet username and passwords will be sent
All you need to do is send your c.v and pass a quick test on your islamic knowledge and attitudes to qualify
After you have qualified all you need to do is log on to the skype landline and answer the calls
No money is required at all
Please note all relevant background checks will be made before you are accepted

please note we desperately require female volunteers to talk to females not males obviously

just a quick update alhumdulillah the hotlin has been running for the past week
we have been overwhelmed by callers due to calls just from student s of 1 university!!!! mny advisers r now doing overtime and for past 2 days the hotline has been 24 hour
we desperately need more advisors just to do the shifts 24 hours
i am not going to advertise the advice hotline now because basically we r getting to many calls and we have to wait for more advisors and a new system to handle multiple calls from 2 numbers
we were not prepared to recieve so many calls we were amazed by the number of young muslims in uk who r confused and in need of good advice ................

You do realise you could probably get a lottery grant to help you out with this?

Mash'Allah Suhail, wonderful, may Allah assist u in this goal. I will try my best on this, I will ask my neice here she has some british friends, hope they can help.
Arclight lottery in Iislam is forbidden, it is a kind of usery, so not accepted.

u will then have to do a quick quiz to test ur islamic knowledge and attitudes etc
at the moment many calls from young muslim sisters had to be turned down due to no female advisors available to give advice
we r now accepting applicants from abroad they must know english and have some knowledge of western life in uk ...etc age is sill 18-25 only
