Dear Muslims friends.

i was reading the informations and the posts in your website. till i found Twister's story!! and Johara's story!! then i decided to discover Islam. NOT TO BECOME A MUSLIM LIKE THEM. NO. but to know what is in Islam makes people turn their FAITH.

so first of all. i'm a catholic. and i have a lot of confusion regarding my own religion. but however i still like it..

well. i just want to know why Muslims are so sure that Islam is the Truth ? then i will continue asking later if you dont mind after i get a proper answer to my question.

hi u from brazil ? ......... did u know there USED ! to be a large % of muslims there .... when a jamat (muslim- missionaries) went to brazil there was lots of mosques but they were locked never used for years even decades when they went they opened thenm up and started praying there ..... if u want i can give u some contact numbers of good muslims in brazil ...

Regarding your points, pls feel free to ask any questions u may have. Insh a Allah by the close guidance of Allah we Shall answer. Now Alhamdulelah we are so sure that Islam is the true religion, simply because it is the only religion Allah Sent His numerous Messengers and Prophets to call for Starting from Adam till Mohamed prayer and peace be upon all of them.

As indicated in Quran: "Or were you witnesses when death approached Ya‘qûb (Jacob)? When he said unto his sons, "What will you worship after me?" They said, "We shall worship your Ilâh (God - Allâh), the Ilâh (God) of your fathers, Ibrâhîm (Abraham), Ismâ‘îl (Ishmael), Ishâq (Isaac), One Ilâh (God), and to Him we submit (in Islâm)." (Quran 2: 133) While look at this verse:" Then when ‘Îsâ (Jesus) came to know of their disbelief, he said: "Who will be my helpers in Allâh’s Cause?" Al-Hawâriyyûn (the disciples) said: "We are the helpers of Allâh; we believe in Allâh, and bear witness that we are Muslims (i.e. we submit to Allâh)." (Quran 3: 152).

Actually Malik we are all born Muslims according to the verse: "And (remember) when your Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their loins, their seed (or from Adam’s loin his offspring) and made them testify as to themselves (saying): "Am I not your Lord?" They said: "Yes! We testify," lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection: "Verily, we have been unaware of this."

" (Quran 7: 172). Then parents turn children to either Jews, Christians or others. Just take a moment to think, Islam is the only religion that is not names after a human being. Just think about this point. Judasim is called after Juda, Hinuism after a head of Hindu tribe, Buddhism after Buddha, Christianity after Christ. Can u see what I mean. Not one single religion refers to the only True Creator. In addition that Jews and Nasara (Christians) know very well that there was a final Messenger expected to come on a certain time. They even had features marking him. Yet they simply denied his prophethood when he appeared calling for Islam. Simply due to many reason such as arrogance, envy, stubborn head.

I just don't want to push much info now. Just look at these few lines and we will more than happy to continue talking to u. That is why we are all here. And we never answer your questions waiting for u to revert or pushing for this. In one of the Quran verses Allah say "no compulsion in religion". However, we are commanded to provide answers for whoever seeks knowledge.

Again Malek, Islam means submission to Allah the Only One True Deity who Created Skies and earth. This meaning conforms easily with the human nature. Remember we are Allah's creation. so by instinct u find yourself accepting teachings of Islam when u r introduced to them.

Nice to hear from you. And Welcome to the board!

I am one of those of converted to Islam, I was Catholic at one time too. It is true in Islam that every question has an answer, there is no 'mystery of faith.' You are surprised to see someone's story of conversion here, but this happens the world over every day. They say that if one studies religion long enough they eventually come to Islam.

Islam also sees many athiests and scientists coming to Islam and realizing that there really is a creator.

If someone breaks into your home and attacks you what will you do? Will you just take it, or will you take action to remove the danger? How about finding your sister or brother, father or mother in danger, will you help them or just be thankful that it is them not you?

God allowed the Muslims to fight after a long time of persecution during which the Muslims did not fight back, but remained patient. No one was safe from the Meccans of that time. They were permitted to fight in order to defend themselves.

Well Malik, SisterJennifer replied to the fight point well. Just to add. The types of torture the first Muslims were exposed to was beyond imagination. Yet Allah did not allow them to retaliate. Only after quite sometime when they were commanded by Quran to do so.

About qouting from the bible. If u notice, u will probably find it verses which even after changing the bible still foretell about the appearence of Prophet Mohamed (PAPBUH) or the like. Other wise, we belive that the bible was surpassed by the revealtion of Quran which is the final book to both mankind and Jin.

I advice u to read it. U will find answers to many questions.

Quotes from the Bible were only used to show other Christians what is said in their book, but their religion does not adhere to it. Thats all the Bible quotes were used for.

The Quran superceds the Bible and is the word of Allah(SWT), unchanged by man, the final religion perfected for all peoples to follow.

As far as eating pork, which is prohibited in the Bible but more important, prohibited in the Quran. I ask all of the non Muslims who visit this site and eat pork to try this at home. The next time you buy some pork chops, before cooking it, take some Cola and pour some on it. You will see the result, and please tell us your findings, :shock: also tell us if you will ever eat pork again! I know the outcome but I will not say the results.
