Backbiting is talking ill about someone behind their back (i.e. when they are not around). "Talking ill" means saying something bad about someone (i.e. saying something that they would not like) even if it is true. If what you say is untrue, then that is slandering.

Let me give you an example Brother

How would you feel if people/someone talked behind your back and said bad things about you? Wouldn't you feel saddened by that? I think you would. It's as simple as that. The reason that backbiting is forbidden is to protect us from eachother and to avoid hate growing in our hearts. You'll not love or trust the one who constantly talks about you badly behind your back.

I have read that even saying nice things about people behind their back among other people is also considered backbiting this is the reason why: For instance a group of Sisters are together and they decide to admire a Sisters height, saying "oh masha'Allah that Sister looks like a model she's so nice and slander and tall". Well, the Sister that they are talking about migh feel a bit unhappy about that because maybe she doesn't like that she's tall. Maybe she doesn't like the fact that they are talking about her physical appeariances to begin with.

Backbiting is soooo easy and alot of the times who do it very innocently subhanaAllah.

uhm, Yes u do, I don't know what kind of right your exactly talking about but if ur talkign about the backbiting, Your right is that Rasululah (SAW) has forbidden for someone to talk behind your back. The rule works for you Brother not against you.
