We should be warned of him and his deviant creed. Nuh Ha Mim Keller mentions in his Tariqa Notes that sacred dance is one of the rituals of the Shadhili order. According to him, the sacred dance is a type of dancing performed by Sufis in unison while they make Dhikr (remembrance of Allah).

<b>Shaykh Nuh Ha Mim Keller</b> is a very well respected Shafi`i scholar who translated the great Fiqh classic <b>`Umdatu l-Salik</b> under the authority of al-Azhar. He was a student of Shaykh al-Arna`out in Hadith and <b>Shaykh al-Shaghouri</b> in Tasawwuf. The website linked in the earlier post is one of misguidance and advised <b>to stay away from</b> by Mufti Ebrahim Desai. The slanderers of Shaykh Nuh should fear Allah subhanahu wa-ta`ala, if he is deviant then so are the overwhelming majority of Sunni `Ulema from Morocco to Syria. The deviance is upon the accusers, may Allah subhanahu wa-ta`ala protect us from their Fitna.
