Bismillah,
Assalamu aleikum new brother to Islam - MABROUK - that you have been guided to the Straight Path. May Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala always give you strength to stay on it and may He accept your efforts inshaAllah. I am so happy for your sake masha'Allah.
And it is also nice to see you here, hope you will enjoy and benefit.
We have several brothers and sisters here that are Arabic speaking and they are much better at this than I am.
But as a departure you could say, after being greeted with 'assalamu aleykum'
Wa aleikumu assalam

Well hello again, Kareem,
You said that I could come over to this board to learn more about your background, so here I am. :-)
Real quick, could you tell me what what you mean when you say you were "raised in Christian background though your family was not religious."
I mean, can you explain what that means, please? Thanks.

Wa aleikumu assalam,to You both and TY for the welcome umm Zachariah!
Hello Ronniv,What I mean is that here in the USA especially in the south everyone is mainly Christian, atleast in background, whether they go to church or not.
My family was not religious, they did not go to church,I never went to church except maybe once or twice growing up and that was with friends.I didn't start going to church or reading the Bible until I was 18.....I am now 38.We celebrated Christmas and Easter and such and knew about the Christian version of God and Jesus, but we were not religious.Did this answer your Question?
Peace!
Kareem

Bismillah,
Well Ronniv, whatever you may think, going from being at one belief and entering into Islam, even if you seem to be judging peoples 'intentions' for leaving and entering into Islam with the truth of heart, most of us has gone through a lot of struggle to get there, and you do not do these kind of sacrifices if you are not 100 percent (if I may use that expression ) sure you are following the will of Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
You call it laughable, well girl let me tell you, most of us has shed a lot of tears taking us where we are today. And today there are only tears of happiness and relief and GRATITUDE running down our cheeks.
Peace
