<b>Threatening to Replace the Believers With Another People if They Revert from Islam</b>

Allah emphasizes His mighty ability and states that whoever reverts from supporting His religion and establishing His Law, then Allah will replace them with whomever is better, mightier and more righteous in Allah's religion and Law. Allah said in other Ayat,

[الْفُقَرَآءُ وَإِن تَتَوَلَّوْاْ يَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْماً غَيْرَكُمْ ثُمَّ لاَ يَكُونُواْ]

(And if you turn away, He will exchange you for some other people and they will not be your likes.) and,

(Do you not see that Allah has created the heavens and the earth with truth If He will, He can remove you and bring (in your place) a new creation! And for Allah that is not hard or difficult.)[14:19-20]. Verily this is not difficult or hard on Allah.

[إِنَّمَا وَلِيُّكُمُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَالَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ]

(Verily, your Protector is Allah, His Messenger, and the believers...) means, the Jews are not your friends. Rather, your allegiance is to Allah, His Messenger and the faithful believers.

[وَمَن يَتَوَلَّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَالَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ فَإِنَّ حِزْبَ اللَّهِ هُمُ الْغَـلِبُونَ ]

(And whosoever takes Allah, His Messenger, and those who have believed, as protectors, then the party of Allah will be the victorious.)

(57. O you who believe! Do not take as friends those who take your religion for a mockery and fun from those who received the Scriptures before you, and (nor) the disbelievers; and have Taqwa of Allah if you indeed are true believers. ) (58. And when you proclaim the call for the Salah, they take it (but) as a mockery and fun; that is because they are a people who understand not.)

Yeh i read about this, look at the responses in that link. I read through all of them, these ones i liked....

<i>Intellectually, I can't make sense of this book (and I like to think I'm reasonably intelligent). </i>

Are the authors implying that the Bible lacks the power to change hearts? If it is meant to bring Muslims closer to Christianity -- then why not simply translate the Bible to Arabic? Is it only through subterfuge and plagiarism (taking existing verses from the Quran and altering them to preach Christian theology) that Christians can communicate with Muslims? A religion as enduring as Christianity surely must have more honest methods to perpetuate itself.

Also, the verses are written as if it is the voice of God speaking -- so are the authors acknowledging the Quran as divine revelation and proclaiming themselves prophets, receiving direct messages from God to update the Quran?

There simply is no way to rationalize this book as an honest intellectual effort and the existence of the book actually argues against itself. It proves itself to be nothing more than a political tool. If anything, it insults the Bible -- implying that a book that Christians consider pagan can be easily modified and be used to replace the Bible itself.

------------------------

This world is a transit place for all beings for there is life after death. I ask the authors to take some time and think what preparation have you made for your after lives?

Allah knows best.

------------------------

I can understand why Muslims are agitated after reading this silly book.. But honestly, this book was obviously written by Dr Anis Shorrosh, a devout ex-muslim arab christian..(look up the owner of the domain (islam-exposed.org, which is the book's official website.. use the WHOIS facility in www.netsol.com or any other domain WHOIS website).. A quick google search will reveal what this person has been up to for the last 10 years, writing books such as 'Islam Exposed' or some other nonesense.. It really comes as no surprise from him.. I'd recommend everyone to watch/read the Deedat/Shorrosh debate to fully understand how this christian missionary thinks.. He's basically anti-muslim.. thats all there is to it..

This book is meaningless. It only exists to push christian ideas into the minds of its (Muslim, mostly) readers. I'm not biased because I'm Muslim.. you don't need to be Muslim to comprehend the sillyness of this book.. It's THAT obvious from either the Arabic or English texts contained in this book.

-------------------------

Cursory review of this book reveals that it is nothing but a mere attempt to vent the fury and rage against Islam and the Muslim. The only conceivable cause of this lambasting and condemnation is perturbation and bewilderment over Islam's resurgence and revival and its victory in winning the hearts of millions of adherents of the Christian faith who have forsaken the doctrines of trinity and atonement and have embraced Islam like the early centuries of Islamic history.

The following fundamental and intriguing questions, which find no answer from this book, arise out of the study of this book:

1- Is there any prophecy in the Gospels about revelation or inspiration of this book in the later days? Has Jesus Christ, Saint Paul or any of the four authors of canonical Gospels ever hinted about future revelation or inspiration of this book and its anonymous authors?

2- Do the Christian Churches, Roman Catholic, Anglican, Evangelists, or Greek Orthodox or any other Christian denomination accept this book as the inspired book of God and accept these two anonymous personalities as the sacred authors of this book equal in status of Gospel writers?

3- Has this book written keeping in mind that present Gospels and the Christian literature is not sufficient to combat the Islamic revival and that the Christian clergy and spiritual/scholastic heirarchy has become unable to combat the beautiful Islamic teachings?

However, this book never claims that the Christian clergy have become demoralized, victimizing young kids and sacrificing them on their vicious sexual altars, and are unable to advance the Christian faith, therefore, God has decided to revoke and annul the present promiscuous system and inspire a new book upon two unknown persons.

4- Why did not the authors of this book exposed their true identities?

The content of this book is outrageous and resentful, full of diatribe and diametrically opposed to style and form of the Gospels though it claims to promote the teachings of the Gospels and their apparent message of love. Quite contrary to this claim, this book has endeavourd to spread hate and sow the seeds of enmity between the Muslims and the Christians. It is a reviling attempt to arouse the feelings of dedicated Christians against the Muslims and to create the atmospheres of Crusades. Out of 77 chapters, 40 chapters and the Epilogue start with the address to Muslims by calling them with contemptuous and scolding titles such as people having enmity in them, who have gone astray, who have corrupted the verses of The Gospel etc and interestingly in the last sentence of the last chapter, i.e., epilogue, it has been urged to use wisdom and love to propagate the Christian teachings.

In electronic media reports and introductions about this book, it has been boastfully claimed that this book is a plausible response to 1400 years old challenge of the holy Quran. But paradoxically, this book is silent about that rhetoric and never even alludes about responding to challenge of the Holy Quran about its unparallel-ness. There is no claim, whatsoever, found in this book that it has been written, revealed or inspired by any human being or Divine in response to the aforesaid challenge of the holy Quran.

As far as the Quranic challenge about its uniqueness is concerned, the authors of this book have miserably failed to show any similarity or resemblance to the sublime and lofty principles and enlightened wisdom of the holy Quran. They have done nothing but merely copying the language, style, phraseology and even passages of the holy Quran and, ridiculously at the same time, have branded Quran as the product of God forbid Satan's mind.

It has also been claimed that it presents biblical truth to Muslims, which is also wrong. It does nothing but spitting out venom against Islam. The headings of every chapter like Love; Peace; Light; truth; Repentance; Women; Marriage etc are mere titles and do not impart any divine knowledge and guiding principles about these subjects but merely censure Islamic teachings about these topics. A divine book has the duty to provide alternate guidance about the human problems if the previous teachings are deemed improper. This book rebukes Islamic teachings but do not provide any alternative to replace them.

A strikingly manifest testimony of the fact that All Knowing God has not revealed or inspired this book is found interalia in Chapter-31 called "Murder" wherein the Muslims have been alleged, rather charged of assaulting houses of worship and destroying churches. This allegation shows that the author of this book has no knowledge about the history of the world and just following the whims and desires of narrow-minded priests who wish to project a distorted image of Islam and the Muslims before the world. The un-biased and fair-minded historians of west have acknowledged that these allegations on the Muslims are un-founded and baseless and that these were leveled by clergy of dark ages who used these false charges to arouse the sentiments of laity and made them take part in the crusades.

A horrible picture of Islam and the Muslims has been portrayed and all kinds of sins like adultery, fornication, murder, outrageous immorality and rape have been attributed to the Muslims but schism between different Christian denominations and their diametrically opposed beliefs have not been even mentioned in this book as if the inspirer of this book is totally oblivious or indifferent to what's happening in the Christian world. He has no concern, anxiety and apprehension about blood-shedding of Catholics and Protestants in Ireland, the deteriorating ethics in west like spread of gays and lesbians movements, abortion, molestation of kids by Catholic priests, rise of atheism and other vices. The whole focus of the so-called inspirer of this book is to show his fury and rage for Islamic teachings.

The deceptive nature and fake contents of this book be exposed to the world, particularly emphasizing on the fact that at this critical juncture of the history, where all the nations are combating against terrorism, particularly religious terrorism and fanaticism, the publication of this book is a vicious act to foil all such attempts and to plunge the world into dark ages.

While I am in no way defending the book (I've only read bits & pieces of it myself), I think it was the author's intention to handle the challenge Muslims claim is given by the Quran but unable to be met - namely, producing a book like the Quran.

To me, and for most Christians, it is a meaningless challenge because if we truly saw something of awe or beauty or truth in the Quran, we'd probably be Muslims. To Christians such as myself, there is nothing miraculous about the Quran, per se, to try to match. But anyway, I guess Anis thought he'd give it a shot. I don't necessarily think it's a good tactic either.

However....

Quote:And this so called Quran opposes many Islamic beliefs. in one of its ayats it describes having more than one wife as fornication,

Not a bad idea...

Quote:divorce being non-permissable

Well, even Jesus said that a couple should only get divorced for the cause of sexual immorality. Divorce for any other reason is considered adultery according to the Prophet Isa, as Muslims call Him.

So, Islam does not agree with Jesus on this? [Image: unsure.gif]

Quote: It states that Jihad is HARAAM.

Also not a bad idea. Perhaps it would stop people from just declaring jihad simply because they don't agree with another group of people or country, which seems to be the case today.

Quote:I think it was the author's intention to handle the challenge Muslims claim is given by the Quran but unable to be met - namely, producing a book like the Quran.

No everyones established this isn't the case besides Christians it seems. For starters large sections of the book are the Qur'an other parts are Chapters of the Qur'an changed around anyway. So that totally finished off any claim that this was the authors intent. Otherwise it would have been 100% new original, a new revelation. So i don't buy this one, and neither has anyone else except blind embaressed Christians looking for a way out of this one.

I don't even know how you can comment on anything about this book in the positive Ronni. You're becoming like those desperate Christians i speak with and hear, even though you've always been passionate you've never been like this. Yes you gave the obligatory "i don't agree with this <b>but</b>" response to this, when in reality as a decent human, confident in your faith. You shouldn't agree with this at all. There's no where to go with this. It would be like a Muslim producing a fake Bible and making negative comments about Jesus and Christian beleifs in it. I so didn't want to think you was like this Ronni, i was holding out on you being the last open minded Christian i'm gonna get to speak with, have my questions answered fairly etc.

And it leads us back to the question..why if it's obvious the author wasn't trying to match the Qur'an, did he do this book? I think this reviewer got the closest to the answer...or even, hit the nail on the head...

<i><b>Are the authors implying that the Bible lacks the power to change hearts? </b>If it is meant to bring Muslims closer to Christianity -- then why not simply translate the Bible to Arabic? Is it only through subterfuge and plagiarism (taking existing verses from the Quran and altering them to preach Christian theology) that Christians can communicate with Muslims? <b>A religion as enduring as Christianity surely must have more honest methods to perpetuate itself. </b></i>

The whole thing is truly pathetic...although as someone pointed out to me, a good sign at the fears of Islam being the fastest growing religion, all other Christian tactics are wearing thin. This is a bad move for Christians and will Insha Allah cause some to question their own faith, why the need for this? What about the Bible as the reviewer said, is it not good enough? Very very embaressing for Christians. It truly is a shame you can agree with anything in this Ronni.

I would have had more respect for someone actually trying to write their own Qur'an, fresh, with no copied ideas or re changed chapters. Not putting down any faith, but trying from scratch. 1422 or so years, and still...no one has managed to meet the challenge. [Image: smile.gif]

Truly desperate and shameful tactic on the part of the Christians, i actually feel sorry for the effect i think this is going to have on Christians as opposed to Muslims. Because by the very definition of what the book is, it makes the religion look desperate and in need for something closer to Islam....a Christian Qur'an, because the bible isn't good enough.

Dear oh dear.

Anya,

Please pay close attention to what I AM SAYING or what I DO SAY and nothing more.

I didn't say anything positive about the book. I think it was a waste of time. The quotes I responded to could have been stated by any person in the world. In fact, I've had the exact same thoughts myself.

That DOES NOT MEAN that I'm saying something positive about the book, just the POINTS themselves.

You will probably be less angry with me or less put off by things I say if you stop thinking I'm supporting something when I'm really not.

I think it was a mistake and a bad idea to write such a book. What was his point? What was he trying to accomplish? And writing it as though God Himself was actually speaking.... that can get you over into the area of being a false prophet (saying that God has said something and He hasn't).

Unless this man claims that God ACTUALLY revealed all this to him (which I have never seen claimed), then he is putting words in our Creator's mouth and that's a dangerous place to be in.

There.

Was that negative enough for you to understand and accept that I <b>AM NOT</b> supporting this book?

Quote:It would be like a Muslim producing a fake Bible and making negative comments about Jesus and Christian beleifs in it.

Actually, I think this already happened several hundred years ago. It was a pitiful attempt to pass itself off as a Gospel while promoting Islamic principles and ideas and insulting Christians all at the same time.

So, as the Bible says.... "There is nothing new under the sun."

Like i said, you said the obligatory "i don't agree with this" but then had to get in the above cheap shots. Could i also ask that you "Please pay close attention to what I AM SAYING or what I DO SAY and nothing more." Because i'd like you to show me where i said you support the book... i did however say you commented on parts of this book in the positive, and you agree with sections of it. Which in a book as disgusting as this, in my opinion no Christian should do. But i don't remember saying you support it. But i will forgive you, i know this book is very embaressing and frustrating to Christians, as it should be.

Cheap shots?

Wow! You really don't think very much of me to say that I was trying to make some sort of "cheap shot."

Listen, I know that you don't accept the Bible; it baffles you that ANYONE can follow it. But in the Bible, there is a statement which says that God's ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts higher than our thoughts.

Surely, you can't have a problem with that statement.

So, it seems, according to your reasoning, that you cannot say anything positive about that statement because it comes from a book that you disagree with.

An atheist could write a book which says that the earth is beautiful and sunrsises are a wonderous site to behold. But you can't say anything positive about that statement, because the book that it's in happens to come from an atheist??

SubhanAllah I have not heard of this book until now, it is really amazing that people try this.

First of all, I am struck by the fact that it "states jihad is haram." Is that verbatim from the book? Does it says JIHAD IS HARAM? or forbidden, or whatever they might call it in the book?

Because if it says simply that "jihad is haram" then the author is obviously an idiot, even without having read anything else in the book... he's an idiot. Because he is implying that jihad means "holy war," or in other words, killing for the cause of Allah. That is what most americans believe jihad means, when actually it just means any kind of struggle or difficulty one goes through to attain a noble goal.

For a poor community to build a hospital, that is a jihad. For a new convert to learn to pray in arabic, that is jihad. Would this book imply that those things are haram? No, of course not. People have trials throughout the world, from big to small, all of which could be considered jihad (in the correct definition), and many times they are unavoidable. So to say that enduring an unavoidable trial in one's life is haram, that is just silly silly silly..... ridiculous. It's like saying it's haram to use the bathroom, it's just part of life.

Another thing I am struck by is the fact that he used real ayat's from the Qur'an in his new book. The Qur'an says that there will be people who try to copy the Qur'an but they cannot ever match the quality of the Qur'an, not even close.

Christians may say he was intending to take up that challenge and failed, as an excuse for the book.

I say, whether or not he <b>intended</b> to take that challenge, doesnt matter, because he has in fact

<b>MADE A NEW QUR'AN</b>

And you know what the best part is??

In his "qur'an", he went so far as to include real ayat's, trying to make it seem as authentic as possible in the hopes of convincing muslims.

But.........

Look at anya's post, all the negative reactions to the book, how it is so transparent, people are reading it and immediately realizing it is a ridiculous book.

<b>How many times have you heard of someone reading the true Qur'an from beginning to end and immediately realizing it is ridiculous?</b>

Never. I've never heard of that happening. Sure, some people will take individual ayat's and purposely interpret them wrong just to try to sabotage Islam, but as far as anyone seriously reading the Qur'an straight through, I've never heard of anyone saying that it is blatantly stupid. (in fact, i've heard many times people say that it is not far off from the teachings of christianity, that is peace and humanity)

And with this new book, there's no waiting, people recognize its stupidity right away.

That alone says something to me, subhanAllah.

I guess I'm not too worried about this book... Anyone who has a decent understanding of Islam would recognize it for what it is (stupid), even the non muslims that anya read reviews from.

The fact that it is being distributed secretly (?) to children in schools is disgusting, and further emphasizes the fact that the author knows he's full of it, and could only even have a <b>chance</b> of being bought by young children who may not know any better. How low can you get.

SubhanAllah.... Allah protects his Qur'an, and in it he says whoever Allah guides, <b>no one can lead astray</b>. So nice try, but nobody can really compete with that, can they?
