Adultery – In Biblical And Islamic Terms
#81

Quote: This information is For Johndoe, as he requested
The woman and the man guilty of zinaa, flog each of them with a hundred stripes: let no compassion move you in their case in a matter prescribed by Allah if you believe in Allah and the Last Day; and let a party of the believers witness their punishment. [An-Nur 24:2]

When this verse was revealed, it was understood that those guilty of adultery should be given a hundred lashes as a punishment.

and Allah Knows best

The Prophet (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) clarified the injunctions:Take from me, accept from me. Undoubtedly, Allah has now show the path for them. For unmarried persons, the punishment is one hundred lashes
and exile for one year. For married adulterers it is one hundred lashes and stoning to death
. '

[Al-Bukhaari, Kitabul Hudood]

I think we really need to check this hadeeth i confirmed it now. It is as I stated below. Unmarried 100 lashes. married stoning.

as far as I understand the married person like the woman who came to the Messenger or Maize is to be stoned to death.

shaunee the issue regarding the prostitude is totally different.

She was not caught in the act, she didnt confess of doing so. This situation proves how much Allah Is Oft Forgiven.

If it is known about her is totally different from being caught in the act with 4 witnesses who must also four agree on the same details of the act in terms of place and timing. Other wise they will be punished for false reporting.

Shaunee this crime to be proven is almost impossible unless the offender confesses. As soon as one confesses then punishment is applied as we said. Even if after confessing one denies back and runs away, people must not go after him/her to catch but rather let Allah Allows him/her to repent.

Shaunee again for this crime to be proven is very difficult. Who would have an intercourse in the open air to allow 4 people see him/her totally ignoring the fact that he/she is a married person. Thus totally disrespecting Allah's laws. I think such a person deserve this punishment.

The cases in which the punishment was applied during the time of the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam, the person involved came and confessed asking to be purified. Other wise the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam instructed people not to scandilize themselves. And if only one sees the act, must also conceal for Allah to conceal him/her on the Day After.

Hope things are getting clearer now.

Alhamdulelah see how John can benefit us? we dig into details and Muslims who are not ok with something understand it more. [Image: smile.gif][Image: smile.gif]

One very important point Shaunee is that the Messenger Salla Allah A`yhee wa sallam didnt add to the verse of the Quran out of his own desire. Like he goes on changing and adding No sister, he speaks of no desire only thru revelation sister.

Allah Allowed him to legislate by virtue of this Ayah:

And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad ﻢﻠﺳﻭ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﻪﻠﻟﺍ ﻰﻠﺻ) gives you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it), and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Severe in punishment.

(Quran 59:7)

Quote:Did u see someone studying hindusim or Buddism to attach it, never, did u see sites dedicated to attach Judiasm no.

Actually, I see this all the time. Most religion and faiths perform some sort of comparative analysis of their religion with the other major religions. So, yes, I've seen this in-depth study of Islam and attacks made on it. I've also seen Muslim sites which profess that they have studied the Jew's Torah and Talmud and attack it.

People do this to all different religions, not just Islam.

Perhaps the reason attacks on Islam might stand out more to you is:

1) It's your faith, so of course it would be more notable to you

2) People actually DO study a lot into Islam, because in debating issues with Muslims, you are often told that you don't know enough. That you have to understand not only Quran but Sunnah... then, you should read a Seerah on the Prophet before you can be qualified to speak on anything. Then, after that, if you bring up hadith material, you're told that you have to understand something about the science of hadith; once you learn a little about that, they tell you, "Oh, you're not a scholar of Hadith, so you're not qualified to speak on it" or that you have to understand the original Arabic.

The list goes on and on.

The way some people present it, no one could except a Muslim scholar who has been trained in classical Arabic, schooled in Islamic shariah and science of Hadith, and attended an Arab, Islamic institute is truly qualified to speak about Islam.

I have never seen a site dedicated to studying or a massive attack toward Judaism from Muslims. So could you provide a link or PM a link please Ronnie? As for there being as many sites by Muslims attacking other religions as there is attacking Islam, no i don't agree. I'll tell you why... I Remember before i became Muslim i looked into all of this in depth from all angles. And Islam shone blatantly as the truth, everything else seemed way too messy or tampered. This is why after i came to confirmation of a God, i wanted to see which of the religions, not just the major ones seemed to my mind, be on the right route. Islam stood way out, and this is why i gathered at the time, it was getting so many attacks from other faiths. To deny this you either haven't looked deep enough into it, or you're looking from a bias Christian perspective. Sure if i looked now, because i'm so strong in my faith and certain, my view would be bias, but at the time, i was looking as an Agnostic with no real knowledge of any of the faiths.

I must agree with Anybwile in that in many of the sites that are bashing jews or judaism are also bashing muslims too. It is sad to see so many of these sites but truth is easier to see when it is surrounded by falsehood. People's unease with Islam made me want to know what the true story really was. Going in, I had no intension of converting. Little more than a year before I read the qur'an, I worked out with a friend of mine just about every day. We became quite close. One day we were discussing religious and spiritual beliefs. I was talking about if I were going to choose a religion it would probably be bhudism. My friend cut me off and told me that I was going to be a muslim. I contradicted him but he affirmed his earlier statement. I started getting mad at him because I was like, "How can you tell me what I believe when I am TELLING you what I believe." I remember being so irritated at him for while. Once I started looking though, Islam just kept coming at me no matter where I looked. It always made sense and shown brighter than anything else. I guess I am saying that I can relate to what Anybwile said.

But does it really matter if an entire site is done by Muslims and dedicated to criticizing the Jews?

To me, what's just as bad or worse, is that a large majority of the Muslim web sites I've visited all have some space dedicated to trying to ridicule or insult Jews or Christians.

So which is worse and by whose standard?

To have a whole site dedicated to critiquing another religion... or

MULTIPLE sites each with their ugly statements made about other religions.

I think if you read what you wrote here again it's quite obvious which is worse. An entire website can take days to read through. A page can take 15 minutes.

Well, we're agreeing to disagree then. As usual, right? :-)

We can disagree amicably, right?

Personally, I feel this way: If it's only 1 or 2 sites that are dedicated to critiquing a particular religion, I can simply choose to avoid those sites.

If, however, proponents of a certain religion (i.e., Muslims) send me lots of links to Muslim web sites to learn about Islam but each of them (or even 90% of them) have pages that are dedicated to ridiculing my own faith, then that's worse. There's no getting away from it then, because it's everywhere I go.

No religion should criticise another religion. No one wants to hear nitpicking about falsehood this and corrupted that... but if you read more on miracles, and the love for God, and how to worship, then the truth about anything automatically comes without the debate.

Whether anyone wants to admit it or not, Christians Jews and Muslims are all under the same God..... we have differences on doctrine and laws. We do not see eye to eye on alot of things, but the truth is, we all came from Adam and Eve, we acknowlege the God of Abraham, the God who sent Moses to lead the Jews out of Egypt, the God of Jesus, and The God that Mohammed relayed a message from. The second biggest problem is accepting one another........ and being able to live side by side on one planet.

I suggest reading Sura 109 (1-6)

By the way, doesn't God love the peacemakers as well?

I don't mean in my above post that bringing the truth to people is not good, but what I'm just saying is....... sometimes things get redundant when the other person refuses to accept it....... sometimes we just need to move on, or maybe even try a new approach, that's why I suggested Sura 109 as well [Image: wink.gif]
