West’s Islamophobia

The old and new Muslims in the West represent a change that some narrow-minded and bigoted Jews and Christians view with certain irrational fear. Phobia and ethno-centric arrogance were two sides of the same coin. If Muslims were not toeing and imitating post-Christian and post-modern cultural norms, then they were threat to Judeo-Christian western civilization. Perhaps, there was also a subconscious sense of envy or inferiority that while they had long given up their common Abrahamic habits and culture of modesty and dignity, why should Muslims be sticking to theirs. This stark contrast served also, in a way, to saying to them that ‘the emperor had no clothes’.


This may probably hurt, but if it does, the best way to alleviate any such feeling of injury is simply to get ‘dressed up’ instead of blaming Muslim for not ‘modernizing’.

Well that certaintly gives one alot to contemplate. Especially with the stoning subject on the other thread. It is unusual how the USA so so so desperately wants the middle east to be just like the west. Why didn't we care where they were so long ago, right? Giving what you said more thought, one thing I can definately say is, look at how much we have to be proud of by not going in the direction of others, right? What other group or religion can say that they have carried on the same manners, prayers, and scripture totally unchanged since the beginning of their religion?

Yes Islam is the only 'Divine code of ethics' which had saved the humanity in the past - and is the only solution to the present-day barbarism and vulturis. However, as Sir Bernard Shaw once remarked: "Islam is the best religion, but currently, it has the worst followers."


Why Islamophobia? The Canadian Jewish professor and columnist, Henry Markow, PhD wrote in his column not long ago - "Islam is the only true religion which is providing resistance to the Godless Globalization of western extremists and Freemasonry funded by the Zionist family of Rothschild of City of London. Therfore, 'War against Islam'."

I really don't understand HOW sticking to ur beliefs/religion is called "Opression" or backwardness . I also do agree that I know some stuff about Christianity & it too has codes for behaviour/life, and isn't it weired that most of them dont even come 'close' to being what they call "Christians".


Even in Bible there is a quote that women 'should' cover their heads ! This practise died about one or two hundred years ago. BUT in Islam, the code is sTILL very widely practised by women. Now thats wat I call a true believer & a religion

That's true, but there are more to it - "Women are to keep shut-up in churces (St. Paul)." But in the Mass on TV and churches, the singers and dancers are mostly women!


Worse than that - according to Jewish scriptures, a female child born is as if "nothing is born". Maybe, that's why - four out of five converts to Islam in Europe and the US are women
