Asalamalaykum Dear Sisters

(It was a tricky question) ey? You don't hear a lot about this sahaba I asked about right? well at least for me he is not someone I came across in hadith's or islamic histories at all, not a name you hear a lot on but mashaAllah thats what learning is for.

The sahaba was <b>Al-Miqdad bin Aswad (ra)</b>

The Messenger (PBUH), when he learned that the Quraysh were heading towards Madinah, gathered his companions and sought their counsel in this grave matter. He told them, "Allah has promised me one of two groups, either the caravan or the army.<b>" Al-Miqdad bin Aswad (raa)</b> stood up to represent the muhajireen, and said: <b>"O Messenger of Allah, proceed with what Allah (SWT) commanded you. By Allah, we will not say to you what the Israelites said to their Prophet Musa: `Go thou and thy lord and fight ye two while we sit here and watch' Instead we will fight on your right, on your left, in your front and on your rear." </b>

There was also another Sahaba who was there at the time, this is what he had to say in support of the prophet (PBUH) on behalf of the Ansaar:

The head <b>of Al-Aws, Sad bin Mu`aadh (raa), </b> spoke on behalf of the ansaar, saying:<b> "O Messenger of Allah, I hope you are not afraid that ansaar will not see it incumbent upon them to join you unless the enemy is in their homes. I would like to say on behalf of the ansaar:
</b>

<b>"Go wherever you wish, connect the rope of whoever you wish, break the rope of whoever you wish, take from our wealth whatever you desire, give us out of it whatever you wish, whatever you take from us is better for us than what you left, whatever you command of us we shall obey you. By Allah, if you decide to travel and take us with you until you reach the pool of Ghamdan, we will travel with you. If you ask us to cross a sea and you cross it we will cross it with you. We are not afraid to meet the enemy tomorrow. We are patient in war, truthful in the battlefield Perhaps Allah will show you in us what will please your eyes." </b>

<b>The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was delighted with what he heard from both the muhajireen
and ansaar.
He said, "Go delightfully forward. By Allah, it is as if I am looking at the death places of the people." </b>

Hehe how come the lights of this thread have been off for so long?

Let me turn it on!

Once Prophet Mohamed SaLaLuhu alai wasalam, offered a marriage proposal to a certain woman and she refused bluntly. Who was that Unlucky woman?

<b><i>hint: </i> </b> ~I believe she's the only woman who has ever done that~

Jazaki Allah khairan Narah for turning the lights here on again

To the best of my knowledge, he did marry someone whose name is not known. On the wedding night as he enters to her place, she said aoudhbillah mink. The Messenger sallah Allah a`alyhee wa sallam said u sought refuge to an All Mighty and told her go to your parents house. This statement is used to serve for pronouncing divorce. But I dont know about him making proposal for someone who turned it down. wow can anyone do that!!! [Image: ohmy.gif][Image: ohmy.gif][Image: ohmy.gif][Image: ohmy.gif][Image: ohmy.gif]

Asalamalaykum Muslimah

I heard of that incident too, but this woman is completely different, he never married this one. He asked her to marry her and she refused on the spot, Turning the marriage offer down.

Yes This woman did it, believe it or not. When I learned about this story, I could hardly believe it. As Allah willed.

This reminds me that she's actually a misser in two ways, she did not only refuse his marriage offer, but she also refused something else, however i cannot give that info away (it'll make it all less challenging [Image: tongue.gif] , so i'll stop right here.

Have fun [Image: biggrin.gif]
