<b>Is it only for the Day after that we better obey Allah?</b>

Praise be to Allah, may Allah expand my chest and untie a knot in my tongue so that they understand my saying, prayer and peace be upon His Messenger.

At many occasions this question rises up specially when u tell people to try and be on the correct path, when u try to remind them than sins are not harmful for anyone but themselves. But do u think that Allah our Creator does not know best? Does not know how His manufacture would function in the best manner? It goes without saying that obeying Allah and being on the correct path is the means to go to Jannah. But is it only this? No my brothers and sisters.

Look at the Ayah in which Allah clearly promising us a good life:

“Whoever works righteousness - whether male or female - while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islâmic Monotheism) verily, to him We will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and We shall pay them certainly a reward in proportion to the best of what they used to do (i.e. Paradise in the Hereafter). (Quran 16:97)

A good life includes everything, as usual the incomparable eloquent language of Quran sums up a lot in few words. Allah promised, and was very specific to include both male and female in the promise of a good life. Isnt this the aim of everybody? Practically speaking, on the other hand, when u look at the fruit of the sin, it extends to affect the body, soul and nafs in a harmful way. People don’t realize why they are tired, why they are not content, why they are not comfortable, why their hearts are heavy. See how Allah described the heart of sinful people saying:

“14. Nay! But on their hearts is the Rân (covering of sins and evil deeds) which they used to earn.[1]” (Quran 83:14). The word ran here in Arabic clearly describes the effect sins and evil deeds have on the heart. It physically covers it up till it becomes obscure waliya`dhubillah (we seek refuge to Allah from this). When the heat is in this status, it becomes blind and incapable of receiving Allah’s light. It feels heavy and tired no matter what the person does to entertain.

While when we abide by the Divine rules that are certainly in our best of interest, we lead a smooth and good life, easy enough to be a step towards the Life After. Just by using the remedies inherit in the Quran, we may overcome any and I repeat any problem we face.

I am not exaggerating, it is just that we read Quran without real understanding to apply.

For example a couple who are suffering difficulty to have children, they usually resort to lab tests, in vitro, or other. Did they think to check the manual (Quran) for remedy? They will find the following:

"I said (to them): ‘Ask forgiveness from your Lord, verily, He is Oft-Forgiving; * ‘He will send rain to you in abundance,

12. ‘And give you increase in wealth and children, and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers.’" (Quran 71: 10- 11)

Just by making Istighfar, Allah Shall provide children and also money. Sobhan Allah. If only we ponder and apply the Ayahs.

When a man faces financial problems, did he think of commanding his wife to increase prayer as mentioned in the Ayah:

“. And enjoin As-Salât (the prayer) on your family, and be patient in offering them [i.e. the Salât (prayers)]. We ask not of you a provision (i.e. to give Us something: money): We provide for you. And the good end (i.e. Paradise) is for the Muttaqûn (the pious - See V.2:2).” (Quran 20: 132)

All what he has to do is to command his wife to pray, of course the meaning is voluntary prayer.

Quran is full of similar remedies, to conclude it is in our interest to obey Allah and be on the correct path. Would one who breaks traffic rule blame the law or him/herself, of course the violator is to be blamed. If no traffic violations no fine. We follow Allah’s Guidance, we are safe.

May Allah allow us all to maintain the correct path and do what Allah Pleases.

Alhamdulelah Who Guided us for this and if it was not for Allah we would not have been guided.

Praise be to Allah Lord of the worlds, King of the Kings Owner of the skies and earth, may Allah Expand my chest, facilitate my matter and untie a knot in my tongue so they would understand what I say. Prayer and peace be upon our Messenger, leader and teacher Mohamed Ibn Abudllah, his household and companions.

Still with the Noble and glorious Quran, the more you surf this amazing book, the more you grow certain about its divinity and be taken by its outstanding language.

As we all know Allah Has numerous Names and Attributes, some of them are contained in Quran, others Allah taught some of His Creation, or Kept in the unknown knowledge to Himself. The use of those Divine Names and Attributes in Quran always makes me stop and ponder much Sobhan Allah. It is really amazing how Allah Uses them to just make a significant distinction between different situations in a miraculous manner.

Just review the following Ayahs with me:

“The likeness of those who spend their wealth in the Way of Allah, is as the likeness of a grain (of corn); it grows seven ears, and each ear has a hundred grains. Allah gives manifold increase to whom He pleases. And Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures' needs, All-Knower.

“Those who spend their wealth in the Cause of Allah, and do not follow up their gifts with reminders of their generosity or with injury, their reward is with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

“Kind words and forgiving of faults are better than Sadaqah (charity) followed by injury. <b>And Allah is Rich (Free of all wants) and He is Most-Forbearing</b>.” (Quran 2:261- 263)

In the above mentioned Ayahs Allah Is addressing and encouraging to spend money in the name of Allah. It is a general donation not associated with an obligatory Zakat but rather in the way of Allah, for the sake of Allah, just to gain Allah’s Satisfaction. Then Allah Added another condition for the betterment of the act which is not to follow what they gave out for charity with any harm. This could be best explain as if one gives out charity for someone then talk to them in a disrespectful manner to brag about the help. Or make them feel low for receiving such help. Or make a comparison in also a degrading manner between him/herself and the receiptient. This is what Allah Meant by follow the charity with harm. The word in Arabic is adha which is not exactly physical injury but more like harm. To this effect Allah ends the subject with a further explanation that just the kind words and forgiving of faults is better than giving a sadaqa followed by harm. In some cases receiptients of the sadaqa are harsh in their attitude. Actually Allah Tests the giver to verify if one is giving the sadaq purely to Allah or not. In other words, if u give to please Allah or your self by choosing only those who are nice to u and give them. The real test is to give any one who is in dire need even if they are not really nice to u. Since this is the case Allah Had to remind the giver that He is Free of all wants, thus He is not in need of our sadaqa and also He is is Most-Forbearing. This Attribute is the one we need to handle a situation like the one I explained. Allah reminded us with this attribute for us to use when we give sadaqa not to fall into the problem of following the sadaqa with a harmful behaviour and also for the receiptient to put up with such a situation if it even happens. Sobhan Allah.

“O you who believe! Spend of the good things which you have (legally) earned, and of that which We have produced from the earth for you, and do not aim at that which is bad to spend from it, (though) you would not accept it save if you close your eyes and tolerate therein. And know that <b>Allah is Rich (Free of all wants), and Worthy of all praise.” (Quran 2:267)</b>

While in this Ayah, although Allah also ended up the sentence using the same Attribute Being Rich (Free of all wants) but in this case He coupled it with the other Attribute that He Is Worthy of all praise. Why what is the difference although both Ayahs address the spending in the name of Allah? In this Ayah Allah Is reminding the giver to spend from the best of what they earned and what Allah made grow for them from earth. It is a reminder of Allah’s bounties on the person, not to think that he /she is giving out of their own pocket but rather from Allah’s bounties. Allah also warned the giver not to give out what they themselves would not take for being bad. Because of all these circumstances, Allah here is the Rich Who Owns every thing but also Worthy of all praise for what He gave us. Sobhan Allah. The usage of only one different Attribute here made a clear distinction between the two situations. Allah u Akbar.

Still on the spending issue, let us see the difference in the following situations:

“Those who spend their wealth (in Allah's Cause) by night and day, in secret and in public, (a fa-a is here) they shall have their reward with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.” (Quran 2:274).

I thought to post the transliteration as well for more clarity:

<b>"Allatheena yunfiqoona amwalahum biallayli waalnnahari sirran waAAalaniyatan falahum ajruhum AAinda rabbihim wala khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona"
</b>

<b>Please note that in Arabic the sentence of they shall have their reward is falahum </b>

“Truly those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and give Zakat, they will have their reward with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.” (Quran 2:277)

<b>"Inna allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati waaqamoo alssalata waatawoo alzzakata lahum ajruhum AAinda rabbihim wala khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona"
</b>

While here the same sentence is used but without the fa. It says lahum which translates best as to them a reward from their Lord.

Why the addition of a fa in the first Ayah when both address the spending issue?

U know why? The first situation is when one spends voluntarily as sadaqa that is why Allah further explained that the act is done day and night in secret and public. This is the sadaqa case, the voluntary spending. For people to do this, Allah used the fa as a confirmation, encouragement particle as well as a sense of acceleration of the reward to be received.

But when u review the second Ayah, u will understand that Allah Summed up the righteous deeds in general coupled with performing salat and giving the obligatory zakat. The deeds contained in this Ayah are the obligatory ones which obviously shall be rewarded from Allah. It is by default for one receive this reward in return for the obligatory deeds.

May Allah Accept, I invoke upon Allah that I was able to convey the meaning contain in those noble Ayahs.

Praise be to Allah Who guided us for this and if it was not for Him we would not have been guided and prayer and peace be upon His Messenger

Praise be to Allah Lord of the worlds, King of the kings One Who Erected the skies without pillars that are seen to us, may Allah Inspire me with the proper wordings on this issue, Allahum sallai a`la Mohamed, his household and companions.

“And those of you who die and leave behind wives should bequeath for their wives a year's maintenance and residence without turning them out, but if they (wives) leave, there is no sin on you for that which they do of themselves, provided it is honourable (e.g. lawful marriage). And Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise. [The order of this Verse has been cancelled * And for divorced women, maintenance (should be provided) on reasonable (scale). This is a duty on muttaqun (the pious).* Thus Allah makes clear His Ayat (Laws) to you, in order that you may understand.* Did you (O Muhammad ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ) not think of those who went forth from their homes in thousands, fearing death? Allah said to them, "Die". And then He restored them to life. Truly, Allah is full of Bounty to mankind, but most men thank not.* And fight in the Way of Allah and know that Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.* Who is he that will lend to Allah a goodly loan (technically speaking from a financial stand this term goodly loan will be soft loan) so that He may multiply it to him many times? And it is Allah that decreases or increases (your provisions), and unto Him you shall return.” (Quran 2: 240 – 245).

Sobhan Allah, just look at the sequence of Ayahs, mind u that they are preceded with another set regulating divorce matters including the payment of alimony. Revolving around payment matters in many ways including the fight in the name of Allah, since exposing oneself for death in the name of Allah counts as payment of course of the soul. Allah SAW Is never negligent of the tinniest matters. To this effect Allah Ended this part with an extremely touching way of encouragement. No not only encouragement but an incomparable motivation. When u think of all this that Allah Is calling a loan to Allah. Just keep in mind that all what u own is originally Allah’s. Yet in a very touching manner Allah calls what we spend in His way as lending Him a loan. La ilaha ila Allah.

Just keep in mind as well that this Ayah was not brought here haphazardly. But rather in a very relevant position. It was a preparation for another set of Ayahs dealing also with many different ways of spending money as we highlighted above. Allah Meant to mentally prepare the reader to receive the financial related commands with a view of making them as a loan to Allah. Allah u Akbar. Yes there are several other Ayahs that separate the two positions, still not haphazard. No Allah brought this concept here, then took the reader along the Ayahs of Beni Israel, Tlout and other Ayahs that also include the fighting in order to stress the fact that all what we do is much taken in consideration by Allah as a loan.

We can come to the conclusion then that Allah Looks at whatever we do in His Name, whatever, not only the physical monetary expenditure, as a loan which shall be paid back to us on the Day After. And Who Is going to pay us back Allah.

Alhamdulelah Who Guided us to his and if it was not for Him we wouldn’t have been guided, peace and prayer be on His Messenger Mohamed Ibn Abudllah.

Alhamdulelah Rubela`lameen, Allahuma salli a`al Mohamed wa alhee wa sallam

All praise is due to Allaah, Lord of all the Worlds. May peace and blessings be upon the Messenger, his household and companions.

May Allah Assist me much in addressing this crucial topic as it really occupies the minds of most people either Muslims or non Muslims.

About the concept of Allah Guides whom He Wills. The Ayah say:

“We sent not an apostle except (to teach) in the language of his (own) people, in order to make (things) clear to them. now God leaves straying those whom he pleases and guides whom he pleases: and he is exalted in power, full of wisdom.”

“And We sent not a Messenger except with the language of his people, in order that he might make (the Message) clear for them. Then Allah misleads whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.”(Quran 14:4)

In both the above mentioned Ayahs the translators come to the word as whom He Wills. It means that the translator attributed the act of guidance to the Will of Allah. Now in Arabic the word is yahdi man ya sha-a. Now the ya here serves as a prefix to the word sha-a in order to determined the subject, the one who did the action. In Arabic u can define the subject by adding prefix to the verb, u can also define the gender thru the same way, Sha-a means wants or desires. So if u actually look at it the ya should be referring to the person who is subject to guidance or vice versa. It means that Allah Shall Guide the one who is seeking, desiring, wanting to be guided. It is only fair and logical. It does not imply any imposition from Allah.

U might say how? Ok look at the coming Ayahs and see that we have to initiate things

2:152

Therefore remember Me (by praying, glorifying, etc.). I will remember you, and be grateful to Me (for My countless Favours on you) and never be ungrateful to Me.

47:7

"O you who believe! if you help (in the cause of) Allah, He will help you, and make your foothold firm."

The above two Ayahs clearly indicate how we must initiate the act then Allah Sobhanhu wa Ta`la Shall certainly take our hands closely. It is the human being who have to start trying to come close, has to strive to find the correct path which is originally of course shown and drawn by Allah. But it is up to us to choose it or not.

The second Ayah is talking about attaining victory from Allah. The Ayah is literally saying O u who believe if u grant Allah victory Allah Shall in turn Grant u victory and keep your feet fixed. How to grant Allah Victory? by lending victory to Allah's cause in every possible means it is so comprehensive. But again we have to start for Allah to Help us.

Now if that was not the case then why Allah Say:

"“And ordain for us that which is good, in this life and in the hereafter: for we have turned unto thee. he said: with my punishment I visit whom I will; but my mercy extendeth to all things. that (mercy) I shall ordain for those who do right, and practise regular charity, and those who believe in our signs;” (Quran 7 : 156)

Can u see what I want to tell u? Can u see how Allah Is eager to include us all in His Mercy while the punishment will only befell on those picked up by Allah. I think the concept is getting clearer here.

“If God so willed, he could make you all one people: but he leave straying whom he pleases, but ye shall certainly be called to account for all your actions.”( Quran 16 : 93)

If Allah Is the One Who puts us stray then how can Allah Puts us for account? It is not logical and all what Allah Say is logical. Even if at times we don’t understand quite well the Wisdom, but not in this point. Because it is so clear.

“The fools among the people will say: what hath turned them from the Qibla to which they were used? say: to God belong both east and west: he guideth whom he will to a way that is straight.” (Quran 2: 142)

“The fools among the people will say: what hath turned them from the Qibla to which they were used? say: to God belong both east and west: he guideth whom he will to a way that is straight.” (Quran 2: 213)

“To God belongeth all that is in the heavens and on earth. he forgiveth whom he pleaseth and punisheth whom he pleaseth; but God is oft forgiving, most merciful.” (Quran 3: 129)

Wallahu a`alam

All what is correct is from Allah and the wrong is from myself.

May Allah accept and forgive any shortcomings amen

Praise be to Allah, a praise which is adequate to Your graces and favors, prayer and peace on the best Messenger to the worlds our Prophet Mohamed, his household, companions and whoever followed them until the day after. “They said: Glory to thee: of knowledge We have none, save what it is thou who art perfect in knowledge and wisdom.” “of knowledge it is only a little that is communicated to you, (O men)”.

Sobhan Allah the more you read Suratu Yusuf, the more lessons are revealed to you Sobhan Allah. But then one really stands there just stunned with the implied messages in only one word.

1. "Send him with us tomorrow to enjoy himself and play, and verily, we will take care of him." (Quran 12:12)

2. "So, when they took him away, they all agreed to throw him down to the bottom of the well, and We inspired in him:"Indeed, you shall (one day) inform them of this their affair, when they know (you) not." (Quran 12:15)

3. "And there came a caravan of travellers; they sent their water-drawer, and he let down his bucket (into the well). He said: "What good news! Here is a boy." So they hid him as merchandise (a slave). And Allah was the All-Knower of what they did." (Quran 12:19)

4. "They said: "Are you indeed Yoosuf (Joseph)?" He said: "I am Yoosuf (Joseph), and this is my brother (Benjamin). Allah has indeed been gracious to us. Verily, he who fears Allah with obedience to Him (by abstaining from sins and evil deeds, and by performing righteous good deeds), and is patient, then surely, Allah makes not the reward of the Muhsinoon (good-doers) to be lost." (Quran 12:90)

Reviewing the Ayahs one after the other, we come up with the following:

1. That the place where they went to is a close by area to where they lived.

2. They did throw him into the well, yet he didn’t resist or fight them back, he completely surrendered to, no not to their decision, but rather to Allah's Decree Who Comforted his heart and Took his fear away by "We inspired in him:"Indeed, you shall (one day) inform them of this their affair, when they know (you) not.". This clearly indicate that he knew ahead that he is not destined to go back to his father right now.

3. Because he totally submitted to Allah, when they took him out of the well and even made into a slave, he couldv'e of course told them who he is and informed them about his father and house to be taken back. But instead again just remained silent and submissive.

4. All this is to establish the fact that he is fearing Allah and adopting patience just as explained at the last Ayahs. He said" Verily, he who fears Allah with obedience to Him' this is what he did, and he started at a very early age. He is just explaining that the position he attained and being again with his brother is the fruit of fearing Allah and being obedient to Him.

Therefore we can say that his attitude is a gradual logical development and well explained at this Ayah 12:90. It is the adoption of Taqwa and Sabr.

Praise be to Allah Who Created Heavens and Earths, Who Created the universe, King of the Kings, and prayer and peace be upon our leader, teacher, and final Messenger of Allah Mohamed, his household and companions.

As usual, one recited Quran as much as one can, yet each time, u feel it is the first time u read this Ayah or that one. U simply stop astonished on how just one word conveys huge meaning that would need like books to highlight their deep implications Sobhan Allah.

“ whoever expects to meet his Lord, let him work righteousness, and, in the worship of his Lord, admit no one as partner."(Quran 18:110).

In this Ayah Allah Sobhanhu wa Ta`la Is giving us a gift, yes a gift that if we succeed in adopting shall really be in a much better position. The underlined word in Arabic is yarju. The word is derived from the root Raja-a. Raja-a means hope, request in a very kind style. I mean when someone needs something from another and wants to be very polite and kind he/she would use Arjou. So in this Ayah Allah Is not using the word yarju haphazardly, but rather in a very correct position. But the Raja here or the request is not for something, but rather for meeting the Lord. What would this mean?

It means one who expects, desires, hopes, waiting for, anxious for, one who is aware of the consequences of the meeting, is aware of the One to be met, is certain about the meeting, is concerned about the meeting, has no doubt it is coming, I can go on more. What is the required attitude of this person? And why Allah started by man kan which translates best as one who was, in other words it conveys a sense of from among u one who was, because not all will adopt such attitude or think in this manner.

What is the prescribed solution? It is to carry out good deeds, righteous deeds and finally as an overall position, should not associate any one with the worship of Allah. Here Allah Used not to associate anybody, not anything, which is totally different. Simply because one may love parents, children, spouse, friends to an extend that one goes O I can not live without this or that person, this is when the red light should go on. This is when the danger lies. Because we can live without anybody but the Eternal Allah. And here Allah Didn’t include the worshiping of things, because people may be so much taken by their wealth, position, fame or knowledge that they ascribe their success or derive their being from that thing. It possesses them so much that it becomes their source of dignity, value, …etc. The items we just listed are all things that would be referred to by something. Rather here Allah Made it very clear saying not to take anyone as partner with Allah in worship.

We can conclude that the prescription for one who is waiting for, hoping for, anxious for, expecting, having no doubt …etc about the meeting with the Lord (since not all will be in this position) must carry out righteous deeds and take no partners (human partners) with Allah..

May Allah Grant us all sincerity of worship, allow us to avoid minor and major shirk, Grant us a good end ameen.

Praise be to Allah, Maintainer of the skies and earth, Owner of the universe and all what is therein, prayer and peace be upon His Messenger, household and companions.

May Allah Inspire me with the correct words and evidence in what I am about to present here.

For many years I stopped on the following Ayahs, each time I read them I do stop at the same position and contemplate over an important issue in our life. Talking. What to say and what not to say:(Quran 23:1-11)

1. <b>Successful indeed are the believers.
</b>

2. Those who offer their prayers with all solemnity and full submissiveness.

3. And those who turn away from evil, vain talk.

4. And those who pay the Zakat.

5. And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts)

6. Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame;

7. But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors;

8. Those who are faithfully true to their responsibilities and trusts and to their covenants;

9. And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawat (prayers) (at their fixed stated hours).

10. These are indeed the inheritors.

11. Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever.

Insh a Allah I will try my best with Allah’s Guidance to present the point.

The Ayahs start with stating a fact about the success of the believers, although the word aflah in Arabic means more than just success. It is the utmost success, the best success one can attain. Falah which is the root of the verb used in the Ayah is the success but here it also takes the sense of win. The Ayahs start with the particle <i><b>Qad</b>, </i> which is a confirmation particle.

So we can easily say that Allah starts the Ayah with a confirmation of the winning and success of the believer. This style of beginning is not haphazard, but rather it is important to attract full attention of the reader in order to focus on the following items one by one.

Now as Allah already made a statement of the certainty of the believers to win, Allah Shall move to define those believers. Note that Allah here Didn’t say the Muslims, but the believers since being a Muslim does not necessarily mean that one is a believer. Believing is another rank.

Now again to the definition. Certainly the believers win, but the believers who do what?

1. The first item which would definitly bring about success and wining is to be fully submissive, humble, full heartedly focused during prayer (develop khushou). Khushu is an Arabic word that is very hard to translate. It is a state when u actually develop a sense of being physically standing before Allah. Remember prayer is a meeting with Allah.

With this Allah Made it very clear how prayer is important, but the point here is not just to keep prayer. No to attain this success, to attain this winning, you must develop this state of full sense with Allah’s presence with you during prayer. To be able to keep your heart fully focused on the prayer.

2. To the surprise of the reader, one may expect that the second item could be for example keeping the fast, or the other obligatory worships. But no Allah Surprised the reader and placed here in the second item to walk away from vain pointless talk.

This is actually the point I like to stress.

But first let us continue. Why did Allah Put it here even before the 3rd item which is paying Zaka followed by refraining from Zina (illegal sexual intercourse)?

Is it for no reason? No it is for an important reason.

Allah Never establishes the order of deeds (or better say put priorities) without a wisdom. Much wisdom is inherent in this important advice if only we listen to it.

One who indulges in much pointless talk shall never be able to pay Zakah. In such case one will probably seek arguments like O why do I have to pay 2.5%, cannt I just make a good sum of money without this exact rate? I have children who can make much use of this money. I will still give out money but it does not have to be the 2.5%. And you can go on listening to such arguments. Isn’t this typically vain talk?

This is just an example.

Talking is of 3 types:

a. A type that must be said and encouraged to be said: Quran, dhikr, passing useful knowledge, encouraging others for good, enjoining good and forbidding evil, reconciling between conflicted parties etc.

b. A type which must not to be said: calling others for kufr, talking ill about Allah, Quran, the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam, encouraging others for sin, decorating the sins for others, ghayba, transmitting ill talking between two parties, creating fitnah between people, etc.

c. A type which if not said will have no consequent harm, like O I did this yesterday, I met so and so, my boss did this, my boss is unjust towards me, my co workers did this and that, I bought so and so.

I know I am actually trying to bring about what any friends may talk about.

But just think to yourselves. How many times you went back home from work, uni or school feeling sooooo tired, yet when you think you actually didn’t do that much of work or study that makes you so tired?

Actually your body is the manufacture of Allah, and only Allah Knows how it may function best. Thus, Allah Made it clear how important it is to avoid pointless talk. Allah Placed it second after being humble in prayer and before paying zakat and guarding private parts.

Now more on the issue, if u don’t try to avoid it, how can one talk another person from abstaining from approaching any situations which may lead to zina? I mean I can for example start advising a young sister of not watching movies with hard scenes in order to protect her eyes and her mind from sulking away with such scenes. If she does not observe this rule, this golden rule of abstaining from pointless talk, she will start, O but it is ok, I know how to control myself. And of course you know how this can go on.

You tell a co worker for example (who appears to be devout), why don’t u try and be more reserved with this sister lest you fall in the trap of shaytan? He would reply O but she does not mind the way I talk to her, matter of fact she likes it. It all starts with the desire to prove one’s point, to satisfy the self.

At the end you can clearly see how those who are inflicted with the vice of pointless talk feel. When you tell them resort to prayer, Quran or dhikr to overcome a difficulty, they will prefer to talk about their problems no matter how many times they relate it.

Of course I am not saying here that we must totally stop talking to each other, certainly not, lest people may take it on that sense. But we have rules and regulations to follow in terms of talking which is actually an essential issue in Islam that is not receiving adequate attention. For example, during a meeting at work, one may present the issue in a brief yet comprehensive form or may elaborate and go on just to remain more in the scene.

We can all start observing this golden rule which Allah gave it second priority for us to attain a position with the winning team.

After that Allah Covered a number of other deeds including keeping promises and then ended up with the mention of prayer again, but at this time, it is those who maintain their prayers their 5 obligatory prayers.

Brothers and sisters look at the fruit of such attitude it is really worth trying hard to attain it. It is to be among those who inherit the Firdaus.

Brothers and sisters, start trying to exercise refraining from vain talk. Just think before u speak and see if you will just hold on what you are about to say, will this have any harmful effect? If not then just don’t say it. Think about the words you are about to say, and see how much they will satisfy Allah, if they will then say them.

It just takes practice. Start now.

May Allah accept, whatever is correct is from Allah and may Allah Forgive any shortcomings in introducing this important point.
